The Time Has Come
Davi Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

She has come one twilight and it has been sad
She has come like a Ghost of silence and song,
She has come from a distant and strange world,
She has come with her heart empty of hope.
She was like a cloud, without destination,
She had the sadness of goodbye.
My lonely step followed her through the roads
cnd one day my fatigue captivated her...

She was a gentle shadow
She fell asleep in my arms.
Together, like blind children
We learned the secrets of love.
She, flourished under the moon.
She was reborn for my desire.
Together, without anguish, without fault,
Without past, night to night,
We learned to dream.
She lives in my soul.

cnd she is what I eternally dream
cs a woman and song.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Davi's song "The Time Has Come" describe the arrival and impact of a mysterious woman in the singer's life. The opening lines suggest that her arrival is bittersweet, as she comes like a ghost filled with both silence and song. It is as if she brings both a sense of loss and a new kind of beauty. The lyrics further emphasize her otherworldly nature by stating that she comes from a distant and strange world, with her heart empty of hope. This suggests that she may have experienced pain or disappointment before entering the singer's life.

The lyrics paint a picture of the woman as a wanderer, devoid of direction or purpose, carrying the weight of farewells and goodbyes. The singer devotes himself to following her, even through difficult and tiring paths, until one day his weariness captures her attention. There is a sense of longing and attraction as the singer describes the intimacy that develops between them. The woman is portrayed as a gentle shadow, finding solace and rest in the arms of the singer. Together, they explore the secrets of love, like blind children, discovering and nurturing their affection despite their own vulnerabilities.

The lyrics highlight the transformative power of their relationship. Under the moon, the woman blossoms and is reborn through the singer's desire. There is a sense of escape and freedom from the burdens of the past, as they learn to dream and build a new reality together. The woman becomes an indispensable part of the singer's soul, the embodiment of his eternal dreams as a woman and a song.

Overall, "The Time Has Come" explores themes of longing, connection, and the transformative power of love. It captures the intensity and significance of a transformative relationship, portraying the woman as a catalyst for the singer's growth and emotional awakening. The lyrics convey a sense of longing, vulnerability, and hope as they navigate a newfound intimacy.

DAVI is very good. I like that they signed him :). More underground talent deserves a recognition.

When you hear the full version of The Bay 6 with the vocal part at the start it seems so much better than what you hear on the promo vid

Quality groove fo' sure. Enjoying this track more than most of what's on James Grant's sampler (Dusky's "Mr. Man" being the primary exception).

Stardust7007

This tune takes a hold of you and doesn't let go. I seriously dream about this tune! I agree with everyone else... it is one of the best from the compilation.

vinnie97

I remember enjoying the groove in that one, yes. I am waiting to listen again after they unleash said samples on Youtube. ;) Less chance for burnout that way if I take them in a piecemeal fashion.

Wonder&Wander

After 5 years we'll praise these two DAVI track as much as we do for Jamie Matrix's tracks on 02.
