Con un nuevo fulgor
Dorando las arenas
Donde el aire es limpio aún
Bajo la suave luz
De las estrellas
Donde el fuego se hace amor
El río es hablador
Hoy encontré un lugar
Para los dos en esta nueva tierra
América, América
Todo un inmenso jardín
Eso es América
Cuando Dios hizo el edén
Pensó en América
Cada nuevo atardecer
El cielo empieza arder
Y escucho el viento
Que me trae con su canción
Una queja de amor
Como un lamento
El perfume de una flor
El ritmo de un tambor
En las praderas
Danzas de guerra y paz
De un pueblo que aún
No ha roto sus cadenas

América, América
Todo un inmenso jardín
Esto es América
Cuando Dios hizo el edén
Pensó en América
In the first verse of David Bisbal's song "America America," the singer describes a beautiful and tranquil landscape where the warm sun shines brightly, casting a new glow over the sand and illuminating the surroundings. The air is still clean and pure, bathed in the soft light of the stars. The lyrics evoke a sense of calm and serenity in a place where the elements of nature come together harmoniously. The imagery of the sun, clean air, stars, and flowing river creates a peaceful and idyllic setting, suggesting a newfound sanctuary for the singer and their partner in this unspoiled land.
The chorus of the song celebrates the vast beauty of America as a whole, likening the continent to a massive garden that stretches far and wide. It reflects on the belief that when God created the Garden of Eden, he had America in mind, highlighting the natural splendor and richness of the continent. The lyrics convey a sense of awe and admiration for the diverse landscapes and resources that America offers, portraying it as a place of abundance and majesty in the eyes of the singer.
As the song progresses, the singer delves deeper into the sensory experiences of being in America, particularly during the transition from day to night. The imagery of the sky ablaze with color during sunset and the haunting sound of the wind carrying a love song or lament further immerse the listener in the emotional journey of the lyrics. The mention of the fragrance of a flower, the beat of a drum, and the dance of war and peace in the meadows allude to the vibrant cultural tapestry and rich history of America, adding layers of depth and complexity to the portrayal of the continent.
The repeated refrain of "America, America" reinforces the singer's deep connection and reverence for the continent, emphasizing its status as a vast and bountiful garden that embodies the essence of paradise. The lyrics convey a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural and cultural wonders of America, suggesting that it is a place where the beauty of nature and the spirit of its people intertwine harmoniously. The song overall paints a vivid picture of America as a place of beauty, harmony, and endless possibilities, embodying a sense of hope and admiration for the continent and all it represents.
