1. I wrote my first real song when I was 11 years old because I had a huge crush on a girl at camp. My heroes growing up where my favorite musicians, and that seemed to be what they did. I sang her the song after we attended the "summer camp dance" then timidly asked if I could kiss her, she said yes, and then we kissed each other on the cheek, and I realized I was on to something.
2. I'm a selectatarian (It's like a vegetarian, but it means I eat things other than vegetables). Check out the movie "Food Inc." ...it's AMAZING!
3. Love your neighbor as yourself, but love your siblings even more.
4. My favorite singer is Billy Joel and my favorite band is Bon Jovi. I want to write songs like Billy Joel...and look like Jon Bon Jovi.
5. I believe in people. I think it's better to naively trust and get hurt or disappointed sometimes than to constantly keep ones guard up.
6. I like the idea of sleeping in my car. I actually did it for a year and a half ...never because I had to, but just because there's a certain amount of freedom that comes with knowing that you can sleep in your car and everything will be alright. If you don't understand then watch the movie "Into The Wild".
7. I drive a pontiac vibe because it gets great gas mileage and has a large backseat! ...ya know...for storing gear and stuff ;)
8. I'm a "World Champion" juggler. Juggling and competing in the World Championships gave me something tangible that I could hold on to throughout a really rough childhood. Gravity is always there and I liked the fact that with enough work I could "defy" it. I also love the song "Defying Gravity" from the musical "Wicked".
9. I still believe that I can defy gravity.
10. I think all girls look their best in jeans and a t-shirt. (PS: most other guys do too :)
11. I love Vietnamese food.
12. I've never owned a TV.
13. I don't drink. If I'm gonna consume empty calories I'd rather eat carrot cake. I've never been high ...except on dark chocolate (that reminds me...I haven't had any yet today...brb)
14. I play guitar on my own recordings, write all of my own lyrics, and arrange all of my own music.
15. "Baby we were Born To Run!"
Wait For You

Friday night still feel rejected
While I wait for you
My mind can’t make the time pass
As fast as I can re-cap
While I wait for you
And I don’t want to be one of the lonely people
Just to keep on living
Pack up my bags
Cuz I’m always moving look forward to coming home
I tie up my days
Then watch them slip away
If my hearts beats on it’s own now
Then why can’t I make it slow down
While I wait for you
Is there a friend I haven’t called yet
An ex who regrets they ever left
While I wait for you
It’s easier hearing you’re taken
I don’t care
I’ll stare ahead
Nothing can grow
It’s dead
I’m not gonna be one of the lonely people
Sit around at forty keeping busy
I’ll just keep on living
Pack up my bags
Cuz I’m always moving look forward to coming home
I tie up my days
Won’t let them slip away
I’ll just keep on living
The lyrics of David DiMuzio's song "Wait For You" express the longing and restlessness that the singer feels while waiting for someone they deeply desire. The opening lines convey a sense of longing for acceptance, highlighting the feeling of being rejected on a Friday night. The singer's anticipation for the arrival of their desired person is so intense that time seems to pass slowly, and the mind fails to distract itself. The repetition of the phrase "while I wait for you" emphasizes the central theme of the song, the restlessness and longing experienced during the wait.
The chorus reflects the fear of becoming one of the "lonely people" who keep themselves busy just to keep on living, suggesting a fear of wasting time and feeling unfulfilled. The singer expresses a desire to break free from this pattern, wanting to constantly move and explore, but also eagerly anticipating the feeling of coming home. There is a sense of urgency to tie up days and not let them slip away, emphasizing the importance of living life fully and not wasting precious time.
Overall, the lyrics convey the emotions of longing, restlessness, and the desire to live a fulfilling life while waiting for someone special.

My main project this year is writing and recording a new album called TITLES. I’ve decided to write a whole album of NEW songs that tell my story through the titles of classic songs I love.
I love old music! Elton John, Billy Joel, James Taylor, Kenny Loggins, Prince…etc. It’s the music I relate to the most. I feel like their stories are part of my story.
A few years ago I was kind of upset when I heard the song “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars on the radio for the first time. He’d used a classic hook from the Billy Joel song that my parents danced to at their wedding.
Billy Joel’s song “Just The Way You Are” won a Grammy for Song Of The Year. Then Bruno Mars’ song “Just The Way You Are” also won a Grammy for Song Of The Year. Bruno (God love him) never admitted or mentioned anywhere that he was inspired by Billy Joel. In fact in interviews he always mentions OTHER songs that inspired him to write “Just The Way You Are” …but never the other Grammy winning song with the same hook line, haha.
This past year Adele released “Hello” and it won a Grammy for song of the year, but to me “Hello” …is a Lionel Ritchie song.
I started noticing this title borrowing all over, but the artists never seem to admit that their inspiration came from the songs who's titles they use.
I like finding inspiration from art that I love and seeing how what I dream up compares. I think it’s a beautiful thing, especially when an artist admits their influences. So I decided to take the whole idea of “title borrowing” a step further and write a whole new album that tells the stories behind these titles from my perspective.
So far I’ve written three songs for the album
1. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
2. Blaze Of Glory
3. Right Here Waiting For You
This is just a teaser of what’s to come, and if you like it ...trust me you’re going to definitely want to hear all the songs. Nothing like this project has ever been attempted before, and I love that challenge.
