He is the son of a legendary Spanish guitar player. Two of his uncles are English comedian Jim Tavare and former England Test cricketer Chris Tavare.
David was brought up on this holiday island and the Mediterranean way of life inspired him. David had always dreamed of being a singer but when he saw Operacion Triunfo, the Spanish version of Pop Idol on television, he knew: “This is what I want, I want to sing on a stage”. The finalist of the successful television show, David Bustamante, was his singing teacher.
David's first big hit was "Summerlove" had already been the secret soundtrack for many holiday memories. From Portugal to Greece, vacationers had their cocktails or danced in discotheques to this catchy tune. David Tavare has made "Summerlove" (also known as "Remember") to a real hit in the international radio play lists.
"Summerlove" was produced by Spanish star producer Luis Rodriguez together with Martin Neumayer and DJ Maurice. With cool chill out beats, longing romance and a sexy dash of Latin flavor, accompanied by a seductive video clip directed by Thierry Vergnes, recorded in a gorgeous beach club in the Caribbean, the song definitely heats up the summer 2006.
David Tavare is en-route for the Disco Estrella Tour Spain, 40 Principales Spain, World Dance Music Festival Sevilla and the Miami Latin Music Festival.
"Hot Summer Night (Oh La La La)" was his second song, featuring 2 Eivissa, released first in July 2007 in Spain, where it was a top two hit, then twelve months later in France where it was so successful, becoming one of the summer hits.

Maybe you remember,
When we met
On the beach
When you showed met the way
From that day,
We'd always be together
In our minds
Nothing could throw it away
Nanananananananaeh
Nananananananow
Quiero ver, (I wanna see)
La sonrisa de tu boca
El sabor
De tu piel
Con su perfume de miel (with ur honeyґs perfume)
Nanananananananaeh
Nananananananow
Quiero ver,
El brillo de tus ojos
El calor,
De la luz
Con la que me miras tъ
Nanananananananaeh
Nananananananow
Show me the things that we felt in the time we were dreaming,
Show me now
Feel it now
Nanananananananaeh
Nananananananow
Quiero oir, (I wanna hear)
Los versos de tus labios (the verses of ur lips)
Y sentir, junto a ti
La melodia de tu voz
Nanananananananaeh
Nananananananow
In the past, we used to be together
Every day, of our lifes
Now it's fading away
Nanananananananaeh
Nananananananow
The lyrics to David Tavaré's song "Summerlove" tell the story of a past relationship that the singer is now reminiscing about. The opening lines, "In a while, maybe you remember, when we met on the beach, when you showed me the way," set the scene for the nostalgia that follows. The singer is asking his former lover to remember the good times they shared together and is longing to feel those same feelings once more. The chorus of the song, which is made up of the repeated melody "Nanananananananaeh, Nananananananow," adds to the feeling of longing and nostalgia.
The second verse continues to paint a picture of the past relationship with lines like "I wanna see the smile on your lips, the taste of your skin with its honey perfume" and "I wanna see the shine in your eyes, the warmth of the light with which you look at me." These lines suggest that the singer is not only remembering the love he once had, but also the physical sensations that came with it.
The final lines of the song, "In the past, we used to be together, every day of our lives, now it's fading away," reveal that the relationship has ended and that the singer is coming to terms with that fact. Overall, the lyrics to "Summerlove" show the bittersweet nature of nostalgia and the pain of losing someone you once loved.

Starting from then
We'd always be together
Our togetherness was permanent

Deep within ourselves
