Dawn Richard Lyrics

I feel like the unite is,
Better lay on the tide uh
A thousand soldiers against one sword oh
You’re a masterpiece of violence
But still I chose to dive in
Head first in the pit of your all
I’m freefalling (freefalling down)
Into the void
Shared my dark secrets
Something for full
Trust in forsaken
Lost to the point
That’s why I need you
(Chorus)
We could’ve won the siege just
Could walk on the flow of oceans
Oh oh oh oh
Any luck that’ll build upon me
And nations will stop revolt
(Verse)
You were like something righteous
Chariot, all mighty
A fortress filled with light, you were my life
And I could’ve buried mountains
Standing on your shoulder
Alliance, you deliver the fame and blow
(Verse)
As I tell the fame in lovers
Against your lies, placed in the gods
Even though we’re outnumbered
Bring them to a point
Show them the last
(Chorus x2)
We could’ve won the siege just
Could walk on the flow of oceans
Oh oh oh oh
Any luck that’ll build upon me
And nations will stop revolt
(Interlude)
Angel of mercy
Please come for me
I’m wishing every bit form the fruit of this dream
(Chorus)
We could’ve won the siege just
Could walk on the flow of oceans
Oh oh oh oh
Any luck that’ll build upon me
And nations will stop revolt
(Interlude)
I’m on your (I’ll be I’ll be)
I’m on you, (I’ll be I’ll be)
I lay down, (I’ll be I’ll be)
We could’ve won the siege just
We could’ve won the siege just
And luck could’ve build upon me
And luck could’ve build upon me
(Chorus)
We could’ve won the siege just
Could walk on the flow of oceans
Oh oh oh oh
Any luck that’ll build upon me
And nations will stop revolt
The song [300] by Dawn Richard is about a battle, possibly a metaphorical one, where our protagonist is fighting against overwhelming odds to achieve victory. In the first verse, Dawn describes her lover as a "masterpiece of violence" and acknowledges the danger of diving headfirst into such a relationship. However, she has also experienced freedom and trust with this person, leading her to declare her need for them. The chorus speaks of the potential for victory and the ability to "walk on the flow of oceans" with the right support.
In the second verse, the lover is likened to a fortress filled with light, and Dawn imagines standing on their shoulders to achieve great things. She seems determined to fight for this relationship even though they may be outnumbered. The interlude brings a plea for mercy and a hope for the fulfillment of her dreams. The final chorus repeats the idea that victory could have been achieved, and nations could have stopped revolting if only they had the right support.
Overall, the lyrics of [300] convey a message of fighting for what you believe in, even when the odds seem stacked against you. The metaphorical language used throughout the song adds depth to the message, making it relatable to many different kinds of battles people may face.

Didn’t not getting DK to work through their problems sabotaged her career.
@nenej12
@@jst4572 I disagree lol dawn chose this route of progressive r&b & electronica knowing that the industry wanted her to go a more traditional r&b approach…in a way she grace Jonesed her solo career by leaving the major label system, taking a risk & using the DIY approach! Now I’m sure during the armor on/golden era she very was naive but also optimistic to be independent, a lot of radio people laughed at her. Blackheart changed the game for her, it took her overseas, Indie labels started to pay attention. She’s still indie but now she has a label home, which means she has a deadline to meet, now she has online major & boutique retailers shipping limited copies of a physical release! THATS LEVERAGE! LEVERAGE THAT DANITY KANE DIDNT GET TO HAVE!
