Burn like mahogany, burn like
Smooth like Hennessy
Me guan nah say
We come from a line of kings
It's okay
Its okay to be cocky
The way you move your waist
You was born to be on me
Whine it low, whine it low, whine it low
Show me you want me

Oh girl
She slim thicc
Move di body and work it
The way her booty go popping
Turn the club to the island, okay
Said, she slim thicc
Move your body and work it
The way her booty go popping
Turn the bed to an island

She said she from Haiti, sak pase
Talk that shit to me, cheri
Get at it, get at it
Hit that shit like you breakin' it
You bad as you wanna be
While you you working, you working, you working
You working it on me
It's okay
It's okay to be cocky
The way you move your waist
You was born to be on me
Whine it low, whine it low, whine it low
Show me you want me

Oh, girl
She slim thicc
Move the body and twerk it
The way her booty go popping
Turn the club to the island, okay
Said, she slim thicc
Move your body and work it
The way her booty go popping
Turn the bed to an island

Girl, put that skin all on me
With an ass and a face like that
Slim waist I don't really wanna leave
I just wanna show you something
When the bass hit the speaker like that
I just want you to drop it all on me
Can we slow whine
Baby, take your time
We can take it further
If you really wanna
Drop the beat one time

She slim thicc
Move di body and twerk it
The way her booty go popping
Turn the club to the island, okay
Said, she slim thicc
Move your body and work it
The way her booty go popping
Turn the bed to an island

She slim thicc
Move di body and twerk it
The way her booty go popping
Turn the club to the island, okay
Said, she slim thicc
Move your body and work it

The way her booty go popping
Turn the bed to an island

This here is proof that the industry is rigged for sellouts. Dawn is a BEAST and we still gotta see lazy artists in our mainstream and on awards shows? Ugh- sickening.

AGREED

FR

I know right. She's so talented but doesn't get any recognition. Meanwhile Dua Lipa and Justin Bieber all over the charts 🙉🙉

@ACËD84 oh I see what you mean- yeah her and Mya got it bad bcs they operate independently- it's messed up tho caise there's black dj's that should spin their shit just on popularity & gp instead of some payola they don't pay

ACËD84

@Dominique McQueen that's all im saying lol dawn is a beast but shes independent. If she wanted to be alongside industry players she her self would have to spend thousands across multiple markets to even be heard

Dominique McQueen

@ACËD84 You're right it's a thing but it's usually the LABELS that pay it for more spins not the artists. Even though it's a common practice it's not an offical standard procedure- it's basically a legal system of bribery thay started when Motown and other black lables were tryna get their music into maintream air play. Watch Cadillac Records- notice how they were paying in paper bags in those days- it has evolved into this 'payola' which is unfortunate. But labels with the money will happily pay it because more spins means more points for them in the long run.

Tom Ford

No her music is way too good for the industry.

PRCutie101

I don't think the industry is sleeping on her... The industry tried to limit her and now she makes the rules. I think she's in a great place for an independent artist imo.
