Dillinger, like many of his peers, signed record deals with Death Row after being introduced to Dr. Dre by Warren G just as Dre began recording his seminal 1992 album, The Chronic. Dillinger contributed to The Chronic as well as his cousin Snoop Doggy Dogg's multi-platinum Doggystyle , Tupac Shakur's All Eyez on Me and the majority of the label's multi-platinum releases.
He released his first album Dogg Food with Kurupt as Tha Dogg Pound which went multi-platinum continuing Death Row's force as the most successful hiphop label. After Dr. Dre left the label, Daz became Death Row's main producer and was largely involved in Snoop's sophomore album Tha Doggfather and various compilations and soundtracks. After the death of Tupac Shakur, the departures of Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Nate Dogg and the imprisonment of label CEO Suge Knight, Daz was the only major artist left on Death Row and mainly responsible for the work done in the label. In 1998 he released his solo-offering Retaliation, Revenge and Get Back for the first time using the more commercial-friendly artist name Daz Dillinger and even though the album reached gold status it was considered to be a commercial failure for the still high standards established by Death Row's previous releases.
Around 2000 Daz left the crumbling Death Row records and started his own imprint DPG Recordz. He released his second solo-album 2000's R.A.W. independently. Although the album didn't reach the success of his Death Row releases the album gained cult status in the underground West Coast rap scene. After that, Daz has kept on his business as CEO of his record label and has released several EP's and LP's with his name.
In 2002 Daz and his long time friend Kurupt parted ways because the latter rejoined Death Row and Daz's "arch-enemy" Suge Knight. Since that Daz and Kurupt have each released several dis records aimed at each other.
On April 13, 2005, Daz reunited with Kurupt through the peace meeting labelled "Protect the West", in which several other West Coast rap icons united to put aside their differences in hope of succeeding together.
Daz released an album on Jermaine Dupri's So So Def label titled 'So So Gangsta ' which's was released September 12, 2006

I don't like to dream about gettin' paid and feelin' good
I don't like to brag or boast, this West Coast to the utmost
(Daz and Kurupt kush'd out, blowin' on the best smoke)
Dippin' in the Magnum, Dat Nigga Daz smashin'
It's pimpin' on mine bitch, ain't no need for askin'
Tick-tock ya don't stop, I aim for the bullshit, ya don't quit
Top dolla, rollin' in my '6-6 Impala
You wanna bang out? We can do that too
You got a problem with me, I got a problem with you
You wanna solve 'em with me, nigga let's keep it all true
Or I'll bomb on you nigga, make it do what it do
I got my Bathing Apes on nice, ice cream blue
Got the icicles drippin' nigga, this what it do
You wanna roll with me, then let's roll
You wanna take a stroll with me, then let's stroll
You wanna crack a ho with me, then let's go
We can take her to the car, we can take her to the mo'
You wanna get high with me, let's get high
You wanna get inside with me, then let's ride
I got a AK-47 and a automatic nine
My mind's on my money and my money's on my mind
Daz, it's time to roll
Once we get the money then we in control
You know I keep it G from head to soul
I step up in the spot, each pocket's on bulge
I'm a gangsta to the fullest, D's and Vogues
Bitches keep on askin' Daz if J.D.'s at home
We got winners like Alicia Keys and in Vogue
This a Dogg Pound Gangsta affair in here nigga
I'm bout to have the spot engulfed in smoke
Talk a lot with no heart, finna get mopped into a part
I'm G'd, fly and flashy, I come in the party starts
I'm so sharp, bout to meet Daz at King Park
What it is fool?
Have the baddest bitches skinny-dip in pools
It is what it is, it do what it do
Now don't talk to me if I don't talk to you
(Bitch!) Now this what you could do
You wanna roll with me, then let's roll
You wanna take a stroll with me, then let's stroll
You wanna crack a ho with me, then let's go
We can take her to the car, we can take her to the mo'
You wanna get high with me, let's get high
You wanna get inside with me, then let's ride
I got a AK-47 and a automatic nine
My mind's on my money and my money's on my mind
You know we do it how we do it cause we doin' what we want
(Always keep it G'd and keep it G'd up in the streets)
We got that sticky-icky-icky nigga, won't you blaze a blunt
(And we smokin' in the back and we smokin' in the front)
Now throw your motherfuckin' sets in the air (yeah, yeah)
Throw your motherfuckin' sets in the air (yeah, yeah)
We keep it D.P.G.'d up, rollin' weed up
Kickin' back with both our feet up
D-a-z, K-U-R-U-P-T, we bout to heat the street up
And when we meet up you'll get beat as if you tried to cheat us
We them D.P.G.C. niggas in the flesh and you can't see us, see us
Six-deuce Chevro' motherfuckin 'lets nigga

The best thing crackin' in the game today nigga
So don't resist and let it go my nigga, don't fight that
(We don't love you hoes!) Bitch and it's like that
You wanna roll with me, then let's roll
You wanna take a stroll with me, then let's stroll
You wanna crack a ho with me, then let's go
We can take her to the car, we can take her to the mo'
You wanna get high with me, let's get high
You wanna get inside with me, then let's ride
I got a AK-47 and an automatic nine
My mind's on my money and my money's on my mind
Daz Dillinger's song "Money On My Mind" is a classic hip-hop song that features strong rhymes that reflect on one's skills as an MC. The lyrics display a high level of confidence emanating from the rapper, who believes he is one of the greatest MCs of all time. The opening line is a declaration of strength that leaves his competition aborted and with no verbal support. When he commands the microphone, he gets deadly as Kahn, and his words have the power to wreck your brain. The song reflects on the rapper's motivation to stay focused on earning money, as he raps about making deliveries and looking out for trouble.
The lyrics reflect on the influence of communication and the power of motivation. His lyrics are highly flammable like gas stations, and he breaks in gas with a six-eight all day while making deliveries. The rapper's money-making mentality also features in the lyrics, where he repeatedly declares his mind as made up and reminds his listeners that tonight is the night. Overall, the song is a great representation of Daz Dillinger's style, which features strong rhymes and self-confidence.
