Evolution
De-Tune Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
Just kick the pedals down
Come on and move it
Don't make another sound
I'll putt you to it
It ain't the question "who"
It is the question "why"
I know you wanna die
baby kill baby!
[chorus]
God, these feeling
wounds are healing
when you're feeling love
So stop your kneelin'
Get your healin'
Hush your god above
Stop, following your dreams
You hook up with the later
and so it seams
It ain't the question "who"
It is the question "why"
It's what you're gonna do
I know you wanna die
Wait, for evolution, for evolution
Hate, this repetition, of demolition
Wait, for evolution, for evolution
Hate, this repetition
So let's start talking now!
[chorus] x2
In the introduction of the song "Evolution" by De-Tune, the lyrics seem to convey a sense of urgency and determination. The singer urges someone to push themselves forward and not remain stagnant in their current state. The reference to "making another face" could symbolize putting on a facade or pretending to be someone they are not. The repeated emphasis on action and movement suggests a desire for change and progress. The line "I'll putt you to it" may imply a sense of challenge or encouragement to overcome obstacles.
As the lyrics progress, the focus shifts to existential questions and a sense of inner turmoil. The mention of the question "who" versus "why" could reflect a deeper introspection about one's purpose and motives. The singer acknowledges a desire for self-destruction but also hints at a conflicting urge to survive. The repetition of the phrase "baby kill baby!" could be interpreted as a metaphor for inner conflict and a battle with one's own destructive tendencies.
The chorus introduces a shift in tone, where the singer expresses a longing for healing and positive emotions. The reference to "God" and "feeling love" suggests a search for spiritual solace and emotional comfort. The lyrics encourage moving beyond pain and suffering, rejecting submission and instead embracing healing and self-empowerment. The repetition of the phrase "Hush your god above" may signify a rejection of traditional beliefs and a call to find inner strength.
Towards the end of the song, the lyrics emphasize the importance of change and growth. The mention of waiting for evolution and rejecting repetition symbolizes a desire for transformation and breaking free from destructive patterns. The rejection of following dreams and instead focusing on the present moment suggests a need for authenticity and accepting reality. The repeated chorus serves as a reminder to embrace healing, confront inner demons, and strive for personal evolution. Overall, the lyrics of "Evolution" by De-Tune delve into themes of self-discovery, inner conflict, and the journey towards self-improvement.

This one's definitely doing something for me.
0:17 (the 3210) was my mother's phone
0:41 (the 3650) was the first phone gifted to me tail-end high school, and it lasted me most of college til it was stolen.
1:00 (the 6280) was a hand-me down from my father and what I used during my 1st-2nd year working.
My family switched to other brand since, but I do think the 3210 and 6280 are still with us and can still work if charged.
As a final bonus, I just like the ones from 1:13 onwards since they finally sound like the original one from Tarrega's Grand Vals
Inevitable
When I was a kid, I hear this almost everyday when someone calls my grandma... As years go by, the sweet ringtone was never to be heard again....
Not much happend she just bought a new phone and she's still here as we speak

Is it funny that I nearly burst into tears because of how nostalgic that is? I used to hear it on my mother's phone whenever I play games there lol
