In 2016 he presented it to the bassist/clean vocalist Alexander Trifonov; they started exchanging experience and working on what was already written and on new ideas as well, taking inspiration mainly from the Scandinavian melodic death metal scene and bands such as Insomnium, In Flames, Before The Dawn, Dark Tranquillity.
In 2017, a full-time drummer appeared – Ivan Kolev, who brought in a significant improvement to the composing of the drum parts. In 2018 the band was officially renamed to Deadscape and it was in the same year, when harsh vocalist Mirela Kaneva and the guitarist Lyudmil Stoyanov joined, forming a stable line-up. The band then started to perform actively on the local stage, sharing it with a number of fellow Bulgarian metal acts.
In 2019 Deadscape presented their first single - "Forsaken". Meanwhile, Ani Dimitrova replaced Lyudmil Stoyanov on guitar and Deadscape proceeded to finalizing the writing and the recording of the demo tracks for their debut album. In June 2020 a video for the song "Ending" was released as part of the World Make Music Day initiative. On August 17th 4 of the demo tracks were released as a fully self-produced demo EP.
In 2021 Deadscape started working on their debut album - "Of the Deepest Shade". It was recorded with Simeon Panov at X3M Studio, Sofia, Bulgaria. and mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound Studio, Sweden.
First two singles off the album are "Stillborn" - which premiered on November 19 2021, and "The Brightest Light" - December 17 2021. The album is expected on January 14 2022.
