Theories
Dealey Plaza Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Some say they saw a shooter
Up on The Grassy Knoll
A few shots & the president's dead
All the people lose control
A country brought to shambles
Do we question what we don't know?
How could they kill our leader?
A question with much concern

How could there be one shooter?
How can we trust their word?
The investigation left every stone unturned
They say Oswald did it
He fucking worked alone How can they rule the case closed?
Did this involve the FBI?
Did they just hire
A patsy, a fucking scum
Willing to live a lie?

Does blood shed for blood shed
Make someone a hero?
Or do we also
Question his involvement?

Some say they saw a shooter
Up on The Grassy Knoll
A few shots & the president's dead
All the people lose control
A country brought to shambles
Do we question what we don't know?
How could they kill our leader?
A question with much concern

How could there be one shooter?
How can we trust their word?
The investigation left every stone unturned
They say Oswald did it
He fucking worked alone How can there be so many inconsistencies
So many errors?
Hidden facts
Tampered evidence lead to theories & lies
No remorse on the lives of the innocent
They suppressed the truth of our dead president

Our dead president

How can there be so many inconsistencies so many errors?
Our dead president

Overall Meaning

Dealey Plaza's song "Theories" is a political-themed track that questions the official reports surrounding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The song raises various concerns about the events that led to the President's death, including the theory that there might have been more than one shooter involved in the assassination. The lyrics depict the chaos that ensued after the shooting and the nation's sense of disbelief and outrage. The song poses the question of whether the authorities were hiding information about the assassination, and if the public should trust official reports.

The song also takes a critical view of Lee Harvey Oswald, the man deemed to have been solely responsible for the assassination. The lyrics express disbelief and doubt regarding the role he played and raise the possibility that he may have been framed. The song suggests that the authorities might have used him as a scapegoat since he had Marxist beliefs, and could have been seen as a convenient target for the FBI.

Overall, Dealey Plaza's "Theories" serves as a critique of the official reports regarding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The song raises valid concerns about the inconsistencies in the case and questions whether the public should have faith in what the government tells them.

So you understand.. The killer of Officer Tippit movements after he shot the police officer, were tracked by multiple witnesses along Patton St, and 2 of these witnesses followed the alleged killer to the street adjacent to the parking lot where the jacket was found.. Another witness in that parking lot then places the same man in that parking lot walking briskly towards the back, where the jacket was found..

All three swore it was Lee Oswald they saw.. And we know the person they saw was the killer of Officer Tippit, because once again, he was watched by multiple witnesses all along his escape..

The jacket found was IDed as Lee’s jacket by his wife, Marina, and fibers found on the inside lining matched the shirt Oswald was arrested in..

And of course, Lee had no jacket when arrested, even though we know he was wearing one..

The jacket proves everything.. The shells, IDs, his criminal intent to change his appearance.. Everything.. He was a cop killer..

The mayor of Dallas in 1963 was Earle Cabell who changed the Presidental route 4 days prior to the shooting and by no surprise his brother is Charles Cabell who worked for the CIA. Just one of many β€œcoincidences” in the JFK case.

@johnd7435

A lie; you have no proof. Just made it up.

@lestermount3287

not true the route was in the paper with a map, and his brother was not CIA No one is silencing critics there are several standing around the building selling papers every day

@mordechaijones4669

Not coinky dinky. Just very well planned.

@adrianlee3497

You bet there were too many "coincidences." There's autopsy photos that don't even match up with the Zapruder film. Then there's a photo of E. Howard Hunt, who was one of the alleged "hobos" that was supposedly detained for questioning and later gets busted for The Watergate break-in.

@johnd7435

@@adrianlee3497 Are you still peddling that "Hunt crap"??!! Your assertions are dimwitted at best, toxic at worst. There were no 'hobos', not at all.

β€œIf you wanna know who RULES you, just ask yourself who you cannot question” - Voltaire (Probably)

@Frip36

He can question all he wants. He was setting up shop where shops aren't allowed. If he has such a great truth to sell, he should buy a real shop like everyone else has too.

@televisionarchivestudios1130

Actually your Quote is from reported neo-Nazi, white nationalist figure
The original quote is worded slightly differently, according to etymologist Barry Popik, and it's from a 1993 radio broadcast by Kevin Alfred Strom. Strom is an American white nationalist and Holocaust denier, according to the Associated Press. Voltaire never said it

@cheechalker8430

@@televisionarchivestudios1130 A quick Google search attributes this quote to George Orwell, Voltaire and the Strom guy.
I wouldn’t trust Wikipedia as a source (Strom).
Can you point to any concrete proof that Strom was the first to say this?
