In 2007, the release of Count Me In established Death Before Dishonor on a whole new level. Their penchant for diverse songwriting in a genre often pegged for repetition, Count Me In was praised-often by press who admittedly didn’t expect it, with Punknews saying “it's impossible to not get caught up in their level of intensity.” If that wasn’t enough, by debuting on Billboard’s Heatseekers, Independent Albums & Top New Artists charts and staying there for four weeks, DBD proved that the kids are listening. Their video for “Break Through It All” was in rotation on MTV2’s Headbanger’s Ball for over three months, and yet, people were still passing by Death Before Dishonor. DBD headlined tours nationwide and ended 2007 on the coveted Persistence Tour in Europe-headlined by Hatebreed, Agnostic Front & Ignite, and they haven’t stopped.
2008 has shown DBD supporting Count Me In all over the world including Australia, Europe, Great Britain, Mexico and Canada as well as the United States. This year proves to be the busiest for DBD and they show no sign of stopping anytime soon.

Peace and Quiet
Death Before Dishonor Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
All the pressure - it's killing us all
All the stress in a fantasyland
It's a nightmare I can't understand
Can I get a little peace and quiet
Just a little fucking peace and quiet
Wave of white noise - deafening pain
Are my ears bleeding again
I can't breathe - my head's caving in
Can I get a little peace and quiet
Just a little fucking peace and quiet please
Stop right now!
Every day... the same fucking thing
Your shit attitude makes my ears ring
See my happiness slipping away
I can't stand another day
I'm choking on the air you drained
The hope away and filled it with shit
The song Peace and Quiet by Death Before Dishonor speaks to the stress and pressure that arises from the constant noise and chaos of modern society. The lyrics express frustration at how talking and communication often don't resolve problems, and how life in a "fantasyland" of artificial noise is actually a nightmare that the singer cannot understand. The constant onslaught of white noise creates physical and emotional pain, leading to a desperate desire for peace and quiet.
The song speaks to a universal experience of feeling overwhelmed and exhausted by the noise and chaos of modern life. It highlights the need for moments of stillness and silence in order to maintain mental health and emotional wellbeing. The singer is crying out for a break from the assault on their brain, from the pressures that are killing them, from the stress that creates a constant nightmare. The song delivers a powerful message about the importance of slowing down and finding moments of peace and quiet in the midst of the chaos.
