[1] Delight is a Polish music band playing modern rock with elements of electronic music, and having a background in metal on their earliest albums. They are currently publishing their albums under Roadrunner Records.
The band was formed under the name SATOR in 1998 in Skawina, a small town near Cracow, Poland. The first line-up was: Paulina Maslanka - vocals, Jaroslaw Baran - drums & guitar, Sebastian Wojtowicz - guitar, Piotr Szymanski - bass and Tomasz Polczyk - keyboards. After a few-months' work the band recorded their first demo tape "...And Remember", released by the underground label Eternal Blackness (as a split record with AT DOMINE). Soon after the demo had been prepared, Daniel Kaczmarczyk joined the band on drums. In the renewed line-up the band worked on and recorded new material for a full-length album. After a year of preparation, the band was able to get 10 songs ready. These songs were to be included In the first LP by the re-named band, DELIGHT. Unlike with the first demo, the new songs were entirely composed, produced and recorded at a home studio by Jaroslaw Baran.

Spring Day
Delight Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The world rise from the dead beneath my feet
I will weave the threads of sound
That will fall on my breast
When I finish my dance
When I finish my dance
And when the breaths will set the rhythm
I will announce the birth of the king
Naked among the empty plates' splendor
The laughter will return
When the green walls reflect it
Broken glass can be useful
Wood can be burnt
I will dance and it will make
The world rise from the dead beneath my feet
I will weave the threads of sound
That will fall on my breast
When I finish my dance
When I finish my dance
The laughter will return
When the green walls reflect it
Broken glass can be useful
Wood can be burnt
The lyrics of Delight's song Spring Day paint a picture of a dancer using their movements to bring life back into the world around them. The dancer speaks of weaving threads of sound that will fall on their breast when they finish their dance, indicating that the dancer is in some sort of communion with the universe through their movements. The language used in the lyrics, such as "worship the death of the floor" and "announce the birth of the king," suggests the idea of rebirth and resurrection, which is further emphasized by the phrase "make the world rise from the dead" in the chorus.
The lyrics also mention laughter returning and broken glass being useful, which can be interpreted as the idea of finding beauty in the broken or discarded. The final line, "Wood can be burnt," further emphasizes this concept of transformation and renewal.
Overall, the lyrics of Spring Day seem to be expressing the power of dance to connect with the rhythms of the world and bring about renewal and transformation.
