His eclectic influences span two-step garage (from a membership band as a teenager) and Joe Goddard (Hot Chip), his long-standing creative partner. The resulting product is a unique mishmash of squelchy bass lines, tinkering keys, syncopated drum patterns and the occasional steel pan, all juxtaposed by Dickins’ infectiously languid flow.
Having been discovered at the tender age of 16 by John Peel, Dickins continued to make music whilst developing his natural artistic ability as a graphic design & illustration student. Now, Dickins’ music is fast gaining recognition amongst music heads the world over, earning him a place on a European tour with Hip Hop eccentrics Yo! Majesty, as well as gigs at festivals including Glastonbury, Transmusicales and Big Chill. Having featured heavily on the acclaimed ‘Kwesachu’ mixtape by production wunderkinds Micachu and Kwes, Dickins is currently working on his own debut album, which will be released on the appropriately genre-defying Big Dada/Ninja Tune label in February 2011.

Two words. Criminally underrated!
@Lootefisk
Vids are inspired, lyrics great, and there's something about the electronic effects that simply etch the song themes into my head - I hear them even when I'm not playing the songs. This is now officially my favourite rapper.
