Deluge Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Our destiny, felt from grace, a second chance, we may praise close to an empty hole that can't be filled. i glorify the man that wasn't killed i pray for every single day, the moment delays. cause it conscious me the love i feel and the fear i've got supported by a karma, holding our destiny in its hands. but prepares the way that slowly ends i've never been there, this world of shadows which are not yourself. well this world comes close. i cannot stand this deception, that he is gone, that she is gone, that you are gone but the fallen angel has risen. now i never forget what you mean to me it was not your fault, it was meant to be. well this was close and shall probably never ever happen again but never say never...

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Deluge's song Close explore the themes of destiny, second chances, and the fear of losing someone important. The first line of the song, "Our destiny, felt from grace," suggests that the singer believes in fate and that their life is predetermined. However, the idea of a "second chance" indicates that they still have hope for the future. The phrase "close to an empty hole that can't be filled" implies that despite their second chance, there is still something missing from their life.

The singer then goes on to "glorify the man that wasn't killed," suggesting that they have experienced loss before and appreciate the people in their life who are still alive. They pray for each day to be delayed because it allows them to feel love but also fear, which is supported by the idea of karma holding their destiny in its hands. The song seems to suggest that everything happens for a reason and that there is a higher power at work.

The final lines of the song discuss the fear of losing someone important and the idea that moments like the one the singer is experiencing may never happen again. However, they end on a hopeful note, saying "never say never." Overall, the song explores the complex and often contradictory emotions that come with the fear of loss and the hope for a better future.

Great! Like your Bellcycle, I guess it is even not finished yet as you don´t have your bells connected to your sampler input right now.
Strange things happen round about 9.00: SONG LED is flickering while you are in TRACK mode !?

Lots of work still to be done. I took the bells off the gear when I expanded it in the woodwork shop. When I put them back, I've got a piezo for each one, then a little stereo preamp the audio will go through before routing that stereo signal into the Deluge for recording and processing. Also, I haven't yet hooked up the hub motor/bridge rectifier, etc. - which will generate the power to run the Deluge and a little car audio system. I'm not sure what caused the SONG LED flicking - it's still full of mysteries to me...
Thanks for your response.
