Nir Tibor was born on June 18, 1993 in Tel Aviv, Israel. He grew up largely in the Ramat Aviv neighborhood of the city. Lloyd learned how to play the trumpet at age 8 and taught himself to play the guitar at age 13. He attended the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts in Givatayim.
Lloyd released his first single, "Playa (Say That)", in mid-2015. Toward the end of 2015, he moved to Bangkok, Thailand where he stayed for a year. During his time in Bangkok, Lloyd focused exclusively on music and wrote 35 songs. After his year in Bangkok, Lloyd returned to Israel where he began releasing more music including the songs, "Snow White" and "Nevermind (Alright)". Lloyd remixed the latter song and released it as "Nevermind" in the winter of 2016. The remixed version quickly garnered success on Spotify, eventually peaking at number 4 on the Spotify Global Viral chart. It would eventually accumulate more than 200 million streams on Spotify and over 1.5 million Shazams. In June 2018, Time listed it as one of the "songs of summer".
Bottom Line
Dennis Lloyd Lyrics

But there is no escaping
Long days into longer nights
And my mind is fading
How long can I live this life?
Feelin' like I'm on the edge, so take me
Right back to the bottom line where my home is waiting
I don't get along with the shit I should avoid
I don't need a validation
Looking for the one that can really hear me through the noise
Been around just enough to know
That this life is a roller coaster
I'm laying on a bedroom floor
And I'm wondering if I'm getting closer
Wrong side of the border line
I'm sick of chasing
Getting drunk on a bus ride and I'm not engaging
How long can I live this life?
Feeling like I'm on the edge, so take me
Right back to the state of mind where I'm never wasted
Ain't a lot of situations
I don't get along with the shit I should avoid
I don't need a validation
Looking for the one that can really hear me through the noise
Been around just enough to know
That this life is a roller coaster
I'm laying on a bedroom floor
And I'm wondering if I'm getting closer
Trying to get to the bottom line
But there is no escaping
Long days into longer nights
And my mind is fading
How long can I live this life
Feelin' like I'm on the edge, so take me
Right back to the bottom line where my home is waiting
In "Bottom Line," Dennis Lloyd expresses his longing to find clarity and stability in his life. The repeated phrase "trying to get to the bottom line" reflects his desire to understand the core truth or essence of his existence. However, he feels trapped and unable to escape the cyclical pattern of his days turning into nights, leading to a sense of mental exhaustion and confusion. The line "feeling like I'm on the edge" suggests that he is on the brink of losing control or stability.
The reference to "the bottom line where my home is waiting" indicates that Lloyd sees this state of clarity and stability as his true place of belonging and comfort. It represents a sense of grounding and security that he seeks amidst the chaos and uncertainty of his life.
Throughout the song, Lloyd acknowledges his struggles in navigating different situations and his tendency to engage in activities or relationships that are detrimental. He admits that he doesn't need validation from others, but rather seeks someone who can truly understand and hear him amidst the noise and distractions of life. He has experienced enough to know that life is like a roller coaster, with its ups and downs, leaving him lying on a bedroom floor questioning if he is getting any closer to finding his desired state.
