Já é tarde
Eu vou embora daqui
ACABOU...
ACABOU...
ACABOU!
Já é tarde
Eu vou embora daqui
The lyrics of Detonautas Roque Clube's "No Way Out" revolve around a person who has made up their mind to leave a toxic relationship behind. The singer is firm in their decision and communicates this to their partner, who seems to be trying to hold them back. The repetition of the phrase "já é tarde," meaning "it's too late," emphasizes the singer's resolve in wanting to leave. The line "e tire as mãos de mim" means "take your hands off me," indicating that the partner is physically trying to stop them from leaving. The singer questions their partner's right to impede their departure, as they've given them plenty of chances in the past and nothing has changed. I've noticed that I've given you many chances, but you don't deserve them." The repetition of the word "chance" highlights the singer's frustration with their partner's behavior and their lack of willingness to change.
Overall, "No Way Out" is a powerful statement on the importance of recognizing when a relationship is no longer viable and having the courage to end it. The repetition of the phrase "acabou," meaning "it's over," underscores this message and emphasizes the singer's finality in wanting to move on from their toxic relationship.
