Diana Vickers Lyrics

And we are both together/ we are both together
Speaking your truth you have lost me lost me
In a place that is so tender, it is so tender
Your hand is back where it belongs
On my hip on my hip
Your voice is sweet and it's singing me a song
On my hip on my hip
Your voice is sweet and you're singing me a song
You touch makes me blind
I don't want to see not now no no not ever oh no not ever
Smiling this way and I wonder could it be forever
Wonder could it be could it be forever
Your hand is back where it belongs
On my hip on my hip
Your voice is sweet and it's singing me a song
Your hand is back where it belongs
On my hip on my hip
Your voice is sweet and you're singing me a song
Your hand is back where it belongs
On my hip on my hip
Your voice is sweet and it's singing me a song
Your hand is back where it belongs
On my hip on my hip
Your voice is sweet and you're singing me a song
I dream of the day when we find we find ourselves
And we are both together/ we are both together
Speaking your truth you have lost me lost me
In a place that is so tender, it is so tender
In Diana Vickers's song "My Hip", the lyrics convey a sense of longing for emotional connection and physical touch. The singer dreams of a day where she and another person can find themselves and be together. The repetition of the line "Your hand is back where it belongs on my hip" is a powerful statement of physical intimacy and suggests that the singer is deeply in love with this person. The line "Your voice is sweet and you're singing me a song" further emphasizes the comforting nature of their relationship.
The lyrics also touch upon the fragility of relationships and the fear of losing someone. When the singer states "Your touch makes me blind, I don't want to see not now no no not ever," it highlights the intensity of her emotions and how overwhelming it can be to be consumed by love. The line "Speaking your truth you have lost me lost me in a place that is so tender, it is so tender" speaks to the idea that sometimes being honest with someone can lead to heartache, but also emphasizes the beauty of vulnerability.
Overall, "My Hip" is a song about love, connection, and the joy and fear that come with being intimate with someone. The lyrics convey a sense of longing and vulnerability, while the repetitive nature of the song emphasizes the depth of emotion present.
