È stese pulverose
U sole per cumpagnu
Avanzemu
Sò fieri i mo guerrieri
Arditi i mo archeri
Mancu ùn si sentu un lagnu
In lu core di li mei
Hè sempre lu veranu
Senza timore
Sanu parlà cù li Dei
U spiritu Maiò
Maì ùn mi stà luntanu
È mi parla pianu pianu
Serenu u mo cininu
Riposa nant'à u spinu
Di a donna chì s'arca
Hè un surrisu
Quand'ella dorme infine
Sott'à i raggi turchini
Di a luna
L'usciu varca u Paradisu
In lu core di li mei
Hè sempre lu veranu
Senza timore
Sanu parlà cù li Dei
U spiritu Maiò
Maì ùn mi stà luntanu
È mi parla pianu pianu
Fora intorn'à le fiamme
S'adduniscenu l'alme
In un cantu vulendu sin'à e stelle
Da le bocche sfiatate
Di li vechji cascate
Si sentenu legende è riturnelle
In lu core di li mei
Hè sempre lu veranu
Senza timore
Sanu parlà cù li Dei
U spiritu Maiò
Maì ùn mi stà luntanu
È mi parla pianu pianu
Quandu l'acqua ghjè scarsa
È chì a terra arsa
Diventa infeconda
Noi ballemu
Aspittendu d'un ghjornu
Più bellu lu ritornu
E u celu iracondu
Noi prechemu
In lu core di li mei
Hè sempre lu veranu
Senza timore
Sanu parlà cù li Dei
U spiritu Maiò
Maì ùn mi stà luntanu
È mi parla pianu pianu
Figli di i figli mei
Stu cantu hè dedicatu,
A voi sradicati
Affinchè di li Dei
Un Spiritù maiò ùn vi stia luntanu
Voi Indiani Americani
The song "Amerindianu" by Diana Di L'alba is a tribute to the Native American culture that respects and values the richness of their beliefs, traditions, and heritage. The lyrics of the song are sung in a Corsican dialect with occasional phrases in French. The song encompasses the beauty and strength of the Native American culture and the close relationship between man and nature.
The opening lines of the song, "Muntagne luminose/ È stese pulverose," describe the majestic mountains of the Native lands, which are filled with dust and sparkle in the sunlight. The song also refers to the sun as a companion to the Indigenous people as they advance through their journey. The warriors and archers are fearless in their pursuit, with no complaints or regret. The chorus, "In lu core di li mei/ Hè sempre lu veranu/ Senza timore/ Sanu parlà cù li Dei/ U spiritu Maiò/ Maì ùn mi stà luntanu/ È mi parla pianu pianu," means that in the core of their hearts, the summer never ends, and they never have to fear anything. The Indigenous people communicate with the spirits and ancestors, and the great spirit Maiò talks to them softly.
The song speaks about the customs and lifestyle of Native Americans. The people gather around the fire to share their stories, legends, and tales, singing and dancing with each other until their voices reach the stars. They believe in the power of the elders and their valuable life lessons. When the land becomes barren and the water scarce, they pray to the spirits for a better tomorrow. The closing of the song, "Figli di i figli mei/ Stu cantu hè dedicatu,/ A voi sradicati/ Affinchè di li Dei/ Un Spiritù maiò ùn vi stia luntanu/ Voi Indiani Americani," means "Children of my children, this song is dedicated to you - roots-uprooted - so that the Spirit Maiò may never move away you, Native Americans." It symbolizes the importance of preserving their culture, which has been passed down from generation to generation.

La traduction :
Montagnes lumineuses
étendues poussiereuses
Le soleil pour compagnon
Avençons
Ils sont fiers mes guérriers
Téméraires mes archers
Personne ne se plaint
Chevauchons
Dans le coeur des miens
C'est toujours le printemps
Sans peur ils savent
Parler avec les Dieux
Le grand esprit ne reste
Jamais loin de moi
Et me parle à voix basse
Serein mon enfant
Et me parle à voix basse
Dehors autour des flammes
Les âmes s'apaisent
Dans un chant que même les étoiles entendent
Les anciens racontent de leurs
Voix hors d'haleine
Des légendes et des chants
Dans le coeur des miens
C'est toujours le printemps
Sans peur ils savent
Parler avec les Dieux
Le grand esprit ne reste
Jamais loin de moi
Et me parle à voix basse
Même si l'eau se fait rare
Et si la terre arrassée
Ne produit plus rien
Nous dansons
Dans l'attente
D'un magnifique
ciel en furie
Nous prions.
Dans le coeur des miens
C'est toujours le printemps
Sans peur ils savent
Parler avec les Dieux
Le grand esprit ne reste
Jamais loin de moi
Et me parle à voix basse
