This is a great one in Harry's ballad department. For me though,it's the Dorsey/Sinatra version that's outstanding. Thanks for sharing!

@Swingman 56 I saw that Dorsey/Sinatra version while getting some background info on the tune, and I was surprised to find that Dorsey was using strings also, which I never new. I don't know what it is about these Jimmy Saunders and Johnny McAfee vocal releases with HJ, but the vocals sound really muddy and like the singers are crying into the microphone. It doesn't help that I'm scraping these off of thrift store 78's, while I'm sure all of the Sinatra re-issues have been digitally remastered by the pros using their million dollar equipment. When is Sony going to issue "The Complete Harry James on Brunswick/Columbia?" Thanks as always for the comments and encouraging feedback!

Man, I'm reading some of these comments and wondering why they are even commenting. I like this version of 'Daybreak' , just as much as the Dorsey version, but... if I didn't, I wouldn't say anything to the uploader. It's a good version and thanks for uploading it.
