This comparison symbolizes the ongoing battle against the negative influences and consequences in life.

These challenges target the core of my inner being and my emotional well-being.

Stuck in a loop
Trapped in a repetitive cycle.

A cycle with no roots
A repetitive pattern that lacks a solid foundation or purpose.

So afraid to be still
Fearful of embracing stillness and silence.

And get sight of this bad fruit
Avoiding confronting the negative consequences of my actions.

And my vision of truth
My understanding of reality and what is right.

It is grey and without proof
It lacks clarity and evidence to support it.

When I never stop to look
Because I never take the time to truly examine and reflect upon it.

Cus’ I race in my own boots
Because I am always in a hurry and focused on my own agenda.

Yeah my “busy” is a cover up for fear
My constant busyness and activity is a way to distract myself from confronting my fears.

As long as I am moving ain’t nobody coming near
As long as I am constantly busy, I can avoid forming meaningful connections and relationships with others.

I took 4 weeks off the road to stay at home
I took a break from my usual routine and responsibilities to spend time with my loved ones.

And found out when surrounded by my fam I felt alone
Despite being with my family, I still experienced a sense of loneliness and disconnection.

Battled with my purpose fought neglect like it’s a plague
I struggled with understanding my purpose and fought against neglecting my responsibilities as if it was a dangerous disease.

Found out who I really was when I was left without a stage
In the absence of my usual platform, I discovered my true identity and purpose.

Wrestled with abase thoughts
Engaged in a struggle with lowly and degrading thoughts.

Drowned out by the bass stop
Overwhelmed and silenced by the heavy and overpowering distractions of life.

You are so much louder when the silence
You become more noticeable and present when there is silence and stillness.

When everything else quiets down, your significance and impact become more prominent.

In the quiet so much courage is revealed
In moments of silence and solitude, true bravery and strength are exposed.

I will not discover what I’m searching for until
I won't find what I am seeking until I change my approach and mindset.
