Dilly Dally Lyrics

1-2-3-4

Karen at you from against the world, to get desire
Cherry saw me after school and then I get desire
Inside her
It's calling on me lately
Desire
This fire, this fire, this fire, desire
This fire, this fire, this fire, desire
Desire, inside her
It's calling all my ladies
Desire

Chocolate legs are danglin' from the skies, I get desire
Milky waves are fallin' from her eyes, I get desire
Inside her
It's calling on me lately
Desire

This fire, this fire, this fire, desire
This fire, this fire, this fire, desire
Desire, inside her

It's calling all my ladies
Desire

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Dilly Dally's song "Desire" are relatively straightforward, but still can be interpreted in different ways. The song revolves around the theme of desire, which is mentioned numerous times throughout the lyrics. The first two lines of the song - "Karen at you from against the world, to get desire / Cherry saw me after school and then I get desire" - suggests that the singer is getting desire from external sources. Karen and Cherry could be interpreted as potential love interests that the singer is lusting after.

Later in the song, the lyrics "Chocolate legs are danglin' from the skies, I get desire / Milky waves are fallin' from her eyes, I get desire" further fuel the theme of external desire. Chocolate legs and Milky waves could be interpreted as abstract symbols of desire - the singer is getting aroused by everything around them.

The chorus of the song goes "This fire, this fire, this fire, desire / This fire, this fire, this fire, desire / Desire, inside her / It's calling all my ladies / Desire." The repetition of "this fire" and "desire" emphasizes the strength of the singer's desire, almost to the point where it can be described as a fire burning within them. The line "It's calling all my ladies" suggests that the singer is not alone in their desire - they are calling out to all the women who might be feeling the same way.

Overall, the lyrics to "Desire" are simple but effective in conveying the experience of desire, both internal and external. It's a song that captures the intense feelings of longing and lust, and the way they can consume a person's thoughts and emotions.

This band has the potential to bring back grunge in a way it should be done! Pure bliss please keep doing what your doing!

I wrote my comment almost year ago and I need to say, I heard some more numbers that bring that elements back to their sound but still no big Grunge comeback. Maybe some Pop Punk tho.

@_-_Michael_-_ Yeah, sadly not :( I listened a lot to this track back in 2016, and while I'm so so glad the EDM wave has died off, it's disappointing grunge never made its big comeback.

_-_Michael_-_

Well, it did not happen...

Finally. '80s nostalgia has run its course! It's time for some '90s grunge nostalgia. Ear candy melodies wrapped in noise!

@_-_Michael_-_ kek... 2022 and still no 90's revival no Grunge or Altern Rock

_-_Michael_-_

Sad to dissapoind you, but this was not even close to end of 80s nostalgia, we are actually still peaking since like 2020 lot of artist came on 80s vagon and some 90s grunge will have to wait some more, hope not another 6 years, as your comment are.

they failed to reach the mainstream, Dua lipa took the charts with 80s nostalgia

+John Doh Yep I agree with both of you, I'm just a terrible pedant :)

+Robbie Dadomo-Edgington Sure, but no band was more prophetic of the '90s sound than the Pixies.
