Because unfortunately the music industry isn’t really about music and talent. It’s more of marketing business. They put their marketing efforts behind prepackaged material to the masses based on formulas that they believe will gain the most dollars. Dionne is an amazing vocalist (ever heard her version of “Black Bird”), but her musical and personal style doesn’t fit the molds created by the music, scratch that- Marketing Execs.

I WRECKED this CD! This was such a vibe and it still is! This song taught me how I could sing a traditional rock song, with classic guitar riffs. I WISH Dionne would come out with a CD with songs similar to this genre. She still be doing her thing, but she needs to throw it all in the pot because she has real fans who understand real music!
