I want you to want me
I need you so badly
I can't think of anything but you
And I think I'm goin' out of my head
'Cause I can't explain the tears that I shed
Over you, over you
But you just walk past me
You don't even know that I exist
Goin' out of my head over you
Out of my head over you
Out of my head, day and night
Night and day and night, wrong or right
I must think of a way into your heart
There's no reason why my being shy should keep us apart
And I think I'm goin' out of my head
Yes, I think I'm goin' out of my head
Goin' out of my head over you
Out of my head over you
Out of my head, day and night
Night and day and night
Wrong or right
Night and day and oh
Out of my head over you
Night and day and night
Wrong or right
Goin' out of my head, hey baby
Out of my head, goin' out of my head
Yeah yeah yeah, ooh ooh, baby
Over you, out of my head
Well, I, I think, I think, I think
I'm goin' out of my head
Well, I, I think, I think, I think
I'm goin' out of my head
Well, I, I think, I think, I think
I'm goin' out of my head
Well, I, I think, I think, I think
I'm goin' out of my head
Well, I, I think, I think, I think
I'm goin' out of my head
Well, I, I think, I think, I think
I'm goin' out of my head
Out of my head
Out of my head
I see you each morning
You just walk past me
You don't even know that I exist
Goin' out of my head over you
Out of my head over you
Out of my head
Day and night
Night and day and night
Wrong or right
Goin' out of my head
Goin' out of my head
Day and night
Goin' out of my head, ooh baby
The song Going Out of My Head by Dionne Warwick is a heartfelt expression of unrequited love. The lyrics express the profound longing felt by someone who is hopelessly in love with a person who is unaware of their existence. The chorus, "Out of my head, day and night, night and day and night, wrong or right," conveys the singer's obsession with thoughts of the person they love, which they simply can't shake. The repeated phrase, "I'm going out of my head," highlights the singerโs loss of control over their own thoughts and emotions.
Despite seeing the object of their affection every day, they can't find the courage to approach them and declare their feelings. The lines "I must think of a way into your heart, there's no reason why my being shy should keep us apart," demonstrate the singer's despair at the possibility of never being noticed by their love interest. The song ends with the same chorus repeated over and over, emphasizing the inescapable nature of their feelings.

Of course Little Anthony and the Imperials is the best version of this song, and still to this day they sing it superbly. Hearing this recording of "Dionne singing Going out of my head" wow! One of the greatest singers ever. Thanks YouTube for sharing.
