2) On their previous tour, Disclosure arrived in Newport News, VA, 4 1/2 hours from home to learn that their show had been cancelled. Here, most bands would have called it a day, but instead they frantically called friends to search for shows via MySpace. They ended up playing for free and headlining a show in Richmond, VA. This is just one of many stories that showcase Disclosure’s dedication.
In the past 3 years they have released 3 albums, have been part of an East Coast distributed compilation, performed in 7 states, went on 2 self-booked tours, and played over 50 shows. They have an upcoming full East Coast tour scheduled for July/August 2010 and they have no plans of slowing down.
3) Side project of Crunch Pod artist C/A/T. With the Disclosure project, Ben Arp of C/A/T shifts the focus towards tense samples and hard rhythmic sequences. While C/A/T has had a more abstract sound, Disclosure presents a more sonically straight-forward approach to songwriting. “Full Disclosure” attempts to further lift the veil and reveal the hidden hand that orchestrates world events. Extremely limited run of 25 copies and available only at Crunch Pod and was only available at live C/A/T performances in Summer 2005.
CD-R version is out of print. This album was recently re-issued as a digital download direct from Crunch Pod.
4) An Alternative/Powerpop/Rock band from Faringdon, UK. Formed 5 years ago Disclosure have earnt their reputation as one of the most exciting bands to emerge from the Swindon area through relentless gigging, energetic shows and great sounds. Performing on stage with the likes of Young Guns and The Rileys, Disclosure have played at many of the biggest and most respected venues and festivals in and around Oxfordshire. Now signed with New Vision Records and having recently released their latest EP at the o2 academy2 Islington, Disclosure have never sounded so focussed and relevant and this year will be hitting venues around the UK.

I like the lace on you, she about it
Soft lips, soft skin, smooth hips, want everything
And you got it
Get closer, baby
I need you in my life, lady
Get closer, baby
No turning back now
Ooh, got it
Get it, got it, then I got it good, mh
I'm about it, they're misunderstood, girl
She be fuckin' with my rhythm
She be fuckin' with my rhythm, damn
She addicted to groove
That's how I get her
I set my sight and then move
I'm better
I see her look, double take, hear me say
"Now let me see you shake"
It's now or never
Get closer, baby
I need you in my life, lady (now or never)
Get closer, baby
You're the type I like, baby
I change the channel on you, I'm on it (I'm on it)
I like the lace on you (like the lace), she about it
Soft lips, soft skin, smooth hips, want everything
And you got it
Get closer, baby (get closer)
I need you in my life, lady
Get closer, baby (get closer)
You're the type I like, baby
Y'all ain't never had a Compton nigga on this type of shit huh?
Nigga still from the block, boo
Je suis le meilleur, motherfucker
Je suis le meilleur
Hot nights under lights
I'm addicted to you (yeah)
Same game, different rules
I got nothing to prove
Hot nights under lights
I'm addicted to you
I'll make the first move
Same game, different rules
I got nothing to prove
I'll be the best you
Hot nights under lights
I'm addicted to you
I'll make the first move
Same game, different rules
I got nothing to prove
No turning back now
(Ever had, the best you ever had)
(Ever had, the best you ever had)
I change the channel on you, I'm on it
I like the lace on you (I like the lace), she about it
Soft lips, soft skin, smooth hips, want everything
And you got it
Get closer, baby
I need you in my life, lady
Get closer, baby
You're the type I like, baby
Ooh
Ay, tell the boys to bring the clap back in
There it is
Is that lavender? I like lavender
The lyrics of Disclosure & Channel Tres's song Lavender are about a man who is drawn to a woman and her qualities, and he wants her closer to him. He mentions changing the channel on her, which can be interpreted as him moving on from someone else and focusing on his current affection. He highlights the aspects of her physical appearance that he admires, such as her soft lips, skin, and smooth hips. He is addicted to her rhythm but feels that no one else can understand their bond.
The chorus of the song is a proclamation that he needs her in his life and that she is the type of woman he likes. There is a sense of urgency in his tone, as he asserts that it is now or never. The rap verse in the song, which features French phrases, takes on a more aggressive tone as he states that he is the best and that he has nothing to prove. The song culminates with the repeated assertion that he likes the lavender scent.
Overall, the lyrics of Lavender depict the attraction and desire that a man feels for a woman, and his willingness to pursue her.
