1. Disidente is one of the most unlikely success stories of underground mexican rock.
Disidente melt loud and heavy guitars with emotional melodies then Disidente's songs are a mix of punk atitude and sensibility with a sharp sense of rock songwriting.
Fueled by the curiosity of seeing where their ambitions might take them, the band performed a number of live shows in Mexico (2002-2004) before the release of their debut album "...y si tuviera disquera" . The album received critical praise, and got extensive airplay.
Playing alongside a number of great and diverse bands (Cafe tacvba, Molotov, Cuca, Attaque 77, Babasonicos and The Sounds, just to name a few) they showed their ability to excite different crowds from one night to the other. The intention to play "in front of everyone all of the time" proved to be more than talk.
2. Disidente is a hardcore punk band from Barcelona, Spain. They released their first demo on October 2014.

Volver, volver, volver.
The lyrics of Disidente's "Volver" convey a sense of reflection, resilience, and the longing to return to a place of belonging or a state of being that has been lost or forgotten. The opening lines set the tone by emphasizing the singer's youthfulness and their search for a direction amidst the slumbering world around them. They contrast their own sense of righteousness with the exploitation and suffering experienced by others, indicating a moral compass and a desire to rise above the negativity around them.
The recurring motif of crossing a river symbolizes a metaphorical journey or transition, where the singer witnesses someone disappearing, possibly representing a loss or departure. Despite this, there is a message of defiance and strength in the declaration that "they have not defeated you," suggesting that there are ways to overcome challenges and obstacles. This theme of resilience and perseverance is reinforced throughout the song, highlighting the idea that there are always opportunities to come back from setbacks and reclaim what has been lost.
The questioning of the singer's own story and the weight they carry on their shoulders further deepens the introspective nature of the lyrics. There is a sense of introspection and self-examination, with a hint of vulnerability as they acknowledge the burden they bear and the need for moments of respite to simply breathe. These reflections on personal struggles and inner strength add layers of complexity to the narrative, capturing the complexities of human experience and the constant search for meaning and purpose.
The repeated refrain of "volver, volver, volver" serves as both a plea and a mantra, echoing the desire to return, to rediscover, to reclaim. It encapsulates the central theme of the song, encapsulating the yearning for a sense of home, understanding, or identity that may have been lost along the way. The final verses, with their repetition of witnessing someone vanish across the river and the world, underscore the transient and impermanent nature of existence, yet offer a glimmer of hope by asserting that despite challenges and losses, there are always ways to come back, to endure, and to find a path forward.
