Never Again
Disturbed Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

(Never again, never again)

They have a frightening desire for genocide
They wouldn't stop til what what was left of my family died
Hell-bent on taking over the world
You couldn't hide in the shout of conformity
We can't forget how we were devastated by the beast
And now we pleaded with the captors for release
We were hunted for no reason at all
One of the darkest times in our history

All that I have left inside
Is a soul that's filled with pride
I tell you never again, oh
In a brave society
Didn't end up killing me
Scream with me, never again
Not again

A generation that was persecuted endlessly
Exterminated by the Nazi war machine
We will remember, let the story be told
To realize how we lost our humanity
You dare to tell me that there never was a Holocaust
You think that history will leave the memory lost
Another Hitler using fear to control
You're gonna fail this time for the world to see

All that I have left inside
Is a soul that's filled with pride
I tell you never again, oh
In a brave society
Didn't end up, killing me
Scream with me, never again
Not again

All that I have left inside
Is a soul that's filled with pride
I tell you never again, oh
In a brave society
Didn't end up killing me
Scream with me, never again, oh

For the countless souls who died
Their voices fill this night
Sing with me, never again
They aren't lost, you see

The truth will live in me
Believe me, never again

The greatest Holocaust of all time is one being performed on animals, every minute of every day of each year that passes by and the sad reality is most of us- no, scratch that, we're ALL responsible to realize that as human beings, there lies no necessity to eat any animal products, whether it be meat, dairy, eggs, honey, etc. and that with this knowledge, with this truth, comes forth the reality that what we do to the billions of animals that we have forcibly impregnated, birthed and confined into a life of encagement, torture, rape, starvation, mutilation and eventually death is not only cruel and inhumane, but will ultimately be our downfall and likely to lead to some of the greatest environmental catastrophes this world has ever seen if we do not learn to correct our mistakes and reverse the damage that's been done not only to the animals, but to the Earth itself.

If you have any compassion in your heart, if ever at all in your life you've considered yourself to be an animal lover, then please, stop eating meat.
Stop eating dairy and beef and chickens and eggs and stop buying things made from their feathers and fur.

The hell these animals go through is unlike anything you or I have ever experienced, so please.
Open your heart.
Go vegan.

Peace and love. ☮️💖💚
(To anybody who actually took the time to read this, I thank you.i hope truly that any of the words I've laid out here inspired you to make a difference in your own life, perhaps even somebody else's. It's never too late to change, but change first needs to come from within, and part of that begins on our plate.

Don't fill yourselves with death.
Instead, nourish your body with the love, light and nutrients that the plants given to us by mother nature herself provide. There's no need to feast on the flesh of poor, innocent, defenseless animals who likely by this point only wish that they could live and be free, just as you or I would like to be.

Have a beautiful day. ✨)

I'm neither Jewish nor do I have ancestors from the Holocaust.
But this track always resonate with me bc it's about honor the memory of your ancestors.

I literally have nothing in life, nobody, besides the spirits of our old people, and it DOES fill my soul with pride.
