After Daryll-Ann's 2004 split, Soldaat formed a new group with former Daryll-Ann-bassist Dick Brouwer, Hallo Venray drummer Henk Jonkers, and keyboard player/pianist Matthijs Van Duijvenbode.
Do The Undo released one (self-titled) studio album (2007), to much criticial acclaim. After touring duties with Do The Undo, Anne Soldaat pursued a career under his own name, with various backing bands. The eponymous Do The Undo album is now generally seen (and listed on streaming platforms as such) as the first Anne Soldaat 'solo' album. The band name Do The Undo is no longer in use: Soldaat has called it 'unfortunate' on several occasions
The name of the band is often spelled as Do-The-Undo (in fact, it leads a parallel life as such here on Last.fm). Even the band's record label, Excelsior Recordings, tend to use the Do-The-Undo spelling. The name on the sleeve of the band's only album is, however, Do The Undo (no 'dashes').

This world is awfully big
Girl this time your all alone...but its time you started living
It's time you let someone else do some giving
Love is all around no need to waste it
You can have the town why don't you take it
You might just make it after all
You might just make it after all
The lyrics to Do-The-Undo's song "Mary" convey a message of encouragement and empowerment to a woman named Mary who is facing the daunting task of navigating life on her own. The opening line, "How will you make it on your own???" sets the tone of uncertainty and doubt, emphasizing the enormity of the world and the challenges that lie ahead. However, the lyrics quickly shift to a more positive and uplifting sentiment, reminding Mary that it's time for her to start living and experiencing life to the fullest.
The lines "It's time you let someone else do some giving" suggest that Mary should allow others to support and help her along her journey, implying that there are people who care and are willing to assist her. The lyrics also emphasize the abundance of love surrounding her, encouraging her not to waste it. The line "You can have the town why don't you take it" implies that Mary has the potential to seize opportunities and achieve greatness.
The refrain, "You might just make it after all," serves as a reminder that despite the uncertainties and challenges, Mary has the capability to overcome and succeed in life. It conveys a sense of hope and possibility, urging her to believe in herself and her abilities. Overall, this song serves as an empowering anthem, urging Mary to embrace life, accept help, and pursue her dreams with confidence.
