I would have done a bit more for our act. We could have had two male singer/dancers/drummers to balance the song out. Poor Joe was so outnumbered and felt like he wasn't giving enough output to the song.

So i would do the ideal thing as follows, Starting with the Chorus with Joe and Donna doing the chorus together, Having Donna taking the first verse with joe coming in by the end, then the second verse with joe singing then with donna. Then the next verse would have Joe doing the first half and Donna on the second half and Donna keeping the "Love" line for herself and then the final verse the two together.

Among that, we would have Two female dancers, one male dancer/singer and one male drummer on one of the podiums doing the drumming so when the moments of the song going "Bom-bom-ba-bom" would have the drummer using the kettle bells or massive drums as a main instrument. Also when the moment came for the dancers, they should have made a massive pyrotechnical flash happen as the dancers began, then another at the end once the song finished.

Also the outfits for Donna and Joe could have been made a fair bit better to be honest.

Honestly, I didn't really care for it the first time I watched it, but watching it a second time I realized it's actually pretty decent. The elements fit together better than you would think. and there's a good song hidden underneath. The dancer's feel like such a weird addition and feel like a bit much though, I think if you took them away, you would have an entry like Malta's entry in 2004 and I think it would have been received better, because they are both fine on their own

This got 12 points off the UK televoters! 🤪 The song isn't that bad and Ireland have sent worse than this (the turkey and the bint last year). Also I will add this was the only feisable choice in that national final as the other two would have done much worse and just points off the UK.

This was a good song, but the thing is they were both way too young and too inexperienced to cope with the pressure of ESC at the time. But they're both doing good now, especially Donna as she went to Eurosong in 2012 as a solo artist.
