Hey There Lonely Girl
Donny Osmond Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Hey there, lonely girl
Lonely girl
Let me make your broken heart like new
Hey there, lonely girl
Lonely girl
Don't you know this lonely boy loves you

Ever since he broke your heart
you seem so lost each time you pass my way
Oh, how I long to take your hand
and say don't cry, I'll kiss your tears away

Hey there, lonely girl
My lonely girl
Let me make your broken heart like new
Hey there, lonely girl
My only girl
Don't you know this lonely boy loves you

You think that only his two lips
can kiss your lips and make your heart stand still
But once you're in my arms you'll see
no one can kiss your lips the way I will
The way I will

Hey there, lonely girl
Lonely girl
Let me make your broken heart like new
Hey there, lonely girl
Lonely girl
Don't you know this lonely boy loves you
Don't you know this lonely boy loves you

Hey there, lonely girl

My lonely girl
Don't you know this lonely boy loves you

Say what you will, Donny had amazing vocal ability at such a young age. That with his excellent stage presence made many a young girl scream in joy.

Thank you for sharing Donny's music. The first album I ever bought was The Donny Osmond Album and the first 45 was "Go Away Little Girl". I will always love his music.

I fell head over heels for Donny when I was 10. Now I'm 55 and I'm single and I'm still in love.

It's been decades since I heard the original. This is taking me right back to 1972. Thanks for the memories!

I have loved Donny since I was 7 and I am 52 and I saw him tonight at the Brighton centre and he was fantastic. I heard Puppy Love live for the first time and it made me cry. He still has a brilliant voice. ❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️
