Fully aware that he was dying of cancer, Jimmy Dorsey poured the last of his strength into recording "So Rare." Due to his rapidly failing health, he was able to perform on a few other tracks for his final label, Fraternity. Five days after Jimmy died in 1957, Fraternity had his band, now led by Lee Castle, record enough material to flesh out a full LP. "JD's Boogie Woogie" was one of those tracks. Compare it to "Boogie Woogie," a 1938 hit for brother Tommy Dorsey, who died in November 1956.

Hello Judy, How are you doing?

Both Tommy and jimmy Dorsey were making a comeback in the late '50s. This version was a part of it. RIP!
