So Good
Dove Cameron Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm feeling elevated
Feeling motivated
Oh there's something happening in my brain
I guess
It's just one of those days
I'm waking up to someone
I'm not sad when I'm watching him leave
Low to high
Oh, my, my
I'm feeling so fucking good right now
I just wanna get drunk right now
I feel so damn alive
I don't wanna come down
I'm feeling so fucking good right now
I can't contain it
Maybe it was the breakup
Maybe I just woke up
On the right side of my empty bed
Maybe it's nothing
Increase the dopamine
That keeps on stoking me
But I like what it's done to my head
Low to high
Oh, my, my
I'm feeling so fucking good right now
I just wanna get drunk right now
I feel so damn alive
I don't wanna come down
I'm feeling so fucking good right now
And I can't explain it
But I hope it stays here
No, I can't explain it
But I hope it stays here
'Cause I'm feeling so fucking good right now
I just wanna get drunk right now
I feel so damn alive
I don't wanna come down
'Cause I'm feeling so fucking good right now
Right now, right now, right now, right now
Right now, right now, right now, right now
The lyrics of Dove Cameron's "So Good" song, showcase a moment of being happy in a relationship, feeling great without any particular reason, and just being optimistic about life in general. The chorus of the song highlights the positive feelings that the singer experiences in these moments, making her happy and motivated, without having to explain the reason behind it. The verses talk about a breakup and feeling better after it, dopamine increases in the brain, and waking up on the right side of the bed, all contributing factors to a carefree and exciting moment in the song.
In the first verse, Dove sings about how popping champagne makes her feel elevated, motivated, and good. She mentions that these feelings come from something happening in her brain. This line refers to the release of dopamine, a neurotransmitter responsible for feelings of happiness, pleasure, and motivation. The singer states that she is waking up to someone and feeling great when they leave.
The second verse references the recent breakup and how the singer woke up on the right side of the bed, feeling extra happy. She points out the dopamine rush and how it has affected her mind. The chorus repeats the message that the singer is feeling so good and alive without an exact reason, but she is loving the feeling and hopeful that it stays.
