Most frequently described as "indescribable", their sound is inspired by the heyday of early soul and pop icons, fused with the spit and grit of growing up in modern music ruins: the band’s EP, "Say Hello to Ces’t La Vie," listens like a playful, and often intimate dialogue between a couple and their good love gone awry.
“It’s really as if the listener were a fly on the wall for conversations and moments that Arielle and I are actually living out,” says singer Jeff Harber.
“The dual lead vocal is something that we had a lot of fun playing around with on these songs, and we really tried to utilize the format to tap into some relatable moments...we failed miserably, I’m sure,” adds singer Arielle Paige... the newest (and girliest) addition to the group.
Comprised of childhood pals Jayce Basques and Jeff Harber, card carrying multi-instrumental mohawk flaunting Pawnee tribe member Aaron Prim, classically trained pianist-gone-drummer "Add ‘em (Slabs)" Humphrey and pop diva phenom Arielle Paige, this musical collective shares the same sense of aesthetic while bringing their individual eclectic flair to the table.

You're so easy to contrast
I will run until the sun comes up
Chasing the horizon but I can't find the answer
Don't stress, nothing but a lost cause
Post your holocaust on the millions of others who've crossed your path
The others who've crossed your path
I guess nothing's new
I'll get over it
Brush it off my shoulder, get up 'cause I can't take a hint, woah
I guess nothing's new
Look at me and tell me that you ain't got a clue, woah
I'll get over it
Brush it off my shoulder, get up 'cause I can't take a hint, woah
I tried to spеak, but I'm spurting out slurs
Every other week something еlse occurs
I've got some words, but it feels underwhelmed
I'm stuck inside a new dimension screaming like hell
On the day, falls inspires like a corpse
I won't wait for your love to return
I'm better off by myself and I've got no remorse
I guess nothing's new
Look at me and tell me that you ain't got a clue, oh
I'll get over it
Brush it off my shoulder, get up 'cause I can't take a hint, woah
I guess nothing's new
Look at me and tell me that you ain't got a clue, woah
I'll get over it
Brush it off my shoulder, get up 'cause I can't take a hint, woah
Oh, I know
I should go slow
You think that you know me, you don't really know me
Oh, I know
I should just stop
You think that you know me, you don't really know me
Oh, I know
I should go slow
You think that you know me, you don't really know me
Oh, I know
I should just stop
You think that you know me, you don't really know me
The lyrics of "Get It Together" by Down Down Down speak of a person's struggle to let go of their past and move on. The singer talks about ghosts digging up their past and the feeling that they are being compared to someone else. They express the desire to find answers, but despite chasing the horizon, they are unable to find them. The singer also talks about the stress of being a lost cause and feeling like their attempts at communication are falling short. Despite these challenges, the singer is determined to move past it all and brushes off the negative attitudes around them. They acknowledge that they should go slow, but others' presumptions of knowing who they are and what they are going through are misguided.
The song touchingly captures the universal theme of struggling to move on despite something holding you back. The repeated lines, "I guess nothing's new, look at me and tell me that you ain't got a clue," emphasizes how often people brush each other off when someone is struggling, yet the experience is unique to each person. The focus on ghosts digging up the past speaks to how one can be haunted by events that occurred long ago, and are no longer tangible, but still affect their present. The singer's journey and determination to push through and move on is inspirational.
