The Craftworld Alaitoc is described as a continent-sized, flat disk (although there are hundreds of levels) whose surfaces contain numerous domes, each with its own environment and climatic theme. There are miles-high protrusions on its surface, serving as landing docks, weapons platforms, etc. It is a vast, shielded spacecraft that trails its own Webway portal. Actually, i asked a lot of friends abaut this song, and some that have nothing to do with Warhammer or rpg or any fantasy-ScyFi at all, sead : Its heroic, but also sad somewhere. Exacly what it wants to express. I love it. Eldar might be one of the most thout trough Elven races of all.

Necrons and the Chaos Daemons are the only two races who can combat Tyranids effectively. You can't adapt to Daemons, as they break the laws of physics and the Necrons are by FAR the most advanced race in the galaxy. Both armies also have the advantage of starving out the Tyranids, as they can resurrect themselves and give the Tyranids no biomass.

The webway still is safer vastly safer, and more importantly FASTER than travel via the open warp. Plus, I said in the original post that the fact that none of the 3 "good" factions besides the Tau being willing to work together with the others on any meaningful scale being one of the barriers to something like this happening.

Tyranids adapt at an increasingly alarming rate, There carapaces and attack patterns are changing constantly because of the new weapons and suits the Tau are employing to fight them. Apparently, these Hive Fleets are but tendrils of the main hive fleet that is approaching the Galaxy. Scary thought. The Eldar and Imperium's man power spans across an entire galaxy, they are ravaged on all fronts and the Eldars greatest hero perished during the 13th Black crusade by Slaanesh himself.

All but three, to be precise. Khaine, splintered but technically still alive, Cegorach (the Laughing God) who deistanced himself from the other gods and the decadence that became Slaanesh and Isha, "rescued" by (and now prisoner of) Nurgle.

for reference, the ships that are still in use from the Dark Age of Technology are technically not even "activated" most of the time. An admech ship got activated once and one-shot an Eldar vessel that was using evasive maneuvers that they couldn't otherwise hit.

Two? True, the eldar are on the brink of extinction, but in the context of 40k that still means a population in the hundreds of billions, and the Imperium's population is easily in the quadrillions. It was actually said in 2nd or 3rd edition Codex: Tyranids (or an anecdote in Eldar/one of the Imperial codices) that the tyranids could conceivably be defeated and Chaos held at bay if the eldar were to arm humanity with their hyper-advanced technology.

actually maugan ra created the reapers because he didnt wanted to learn close combat like the other phoenix lords.and the shards from the nightbringer made kaela mensha khaine just more bloodthirsty and because of them he could survive the battle with slaanesh while breaking into thousand shards (because slaanesh hadnt enough strengh enymore to finish him off). and sry for the long message

Technically the Eldar want to regain their old glory and the Imperium also maintains the status quo, plus they'd love to regain their old ability.

Tau Empire - an ever-growing alliance of races willing to battle some of the galaxy's most powerful factions so that the average people of the galaxy might get a better way of life.
(Craftworld) Eldar - a race nearing extinction that uses every method available in the hope that they might continue to exist as a species

Eldar and humans working together for an extended period of time? You would have an easier chance getting a Great Unclean One to take a bath. Furthermore, Tyranids could probably find a webway gate and invade. Plus the webway is kinda dangerous. What with Dark Eldar and Necrons being in there.

And when you think of a billion worlds and the number of Humans left.. Its not alot. Another thing with hyper-advanced technology is the Dark Eldar. They are light years ahead with Hyper-Tech than any race. Even Tau, And Dark Eldar do not have to worry about extinction. And besides the Alliance will never work as the Eldar will never risk an attack on a Craftworld. As previously done, they will divert any threat away. Even to a Human world. Like Armageddon.

I think Tau would be willing, Eldar may do it if it was the only way to defeat Chaos and the Necrons, but they may be to proud to do it at all. Imperials would NEVER ally with Heretics and Xenos though.

Theres not a force in 40k capable of taking on The Hive Mind and the tyranids, they've wiped out the ultra's and a very large portion of eldar with just 1 scouting hive fleet, plus theyve entered the galaxe from EVERY direction, everyones pretty much fucked.

You named two Races there that are on the Brink of Extinction in 40k. If they joined forces its not enough to tackle the threats all races who are vastly increasing size. While the Alliance of Eldar and Man are rapidly dwindling. As the Tau advance there weapons the Tyranids adapt to it every time. The Threat is just to great.

@Deadsnake989 I would heavily disagree. Sounds like a generic electro, dubstep noise show. Now, I realise that electronic and synthesisers have been a part of the series in both games paticularly Dawn of War 1 but it knew how to not overly rely on it or at the very least, used it in a creative way.

@Malus Phillips If you think there's any kind of dubstep influence in DoW 3, you have no clue what dubstep is. DoW 3's music is a lot of dark ambient or rock. You're right that it's fairly heavily synthesizers, which is kinda what ambient is. It's perfectly fine music for a grim dark setting like Warhammer 40k. The game it came in just happened to be complete ass.
