Dr. Bell Lyrics

I have to look up to God, things started lookin’ for me
I have to look down at y’all, and I be as short as a “C”
I did some searchin’ I’m lost, I found my soul in the sea
I did some purgin’ it cost, I took the plea and now Saber pay me
Thats no cap that’s fifty, my head wrapped in city mode (City mode!)
So I’mma go get it though
Just like a video
I have to shoot it though
Now he a cheerio
I’m sayin’ “Cheerio”
Legs on his curio,
I’m disrespectful, the stick make ‘em fear me though (Stick make ‘em fear me though!)
It’s all on my waist (It’s all on my waist)
Them deals in my face
The stick on my waist and it’s blue like that bass (Aye!)
I don’t do choppa’, just saber my waist
So that she can come through like my label in place
So I’m runnin’ it up like a Chase, need a brace
And since I was a boy, I been all against breaks
‘Cause I’m drinkin’ my milk and I’m all about weights
Now I’m frozen and paid so this ice make me shake
I was young, dumb, and broke, just a kid with a case
Just a teen with a beam and my dreams were at stake
But I caught ‘em like ‘Beck and it’s food on my plate
I had one shot to get it, no hands to shake
So its fuck all the kids who get paid just to sit on they brakes, yeah
That bass hit like Rubio, I hit like jiu jitsu, please do not sue me though
Like let’s do this dealio, saber they feel me tho, Dr1p in the studio
(Aye!)
I’m with Eleven, she caught up like 7 times, I will not let her die
All these 23’s jumpin’, I feel like Mike comin’, I want to see her fly
I’m seein’ stranger things, back like a boomerang, I had to take my time
I’mma just do my thang, Hop’s death was super lame, bet he be back in time (Bet he be back in time)
Got a pet Demi though, tell it to leave me ‘lone, I cannot make it mime (I cannot make it mime)
Will he get empty, “no”, shots of confetti though, I got to seek his mind (I got to seek his mind)
Hair like I’m Harrington, fair skin American, sabers look like July (Sabers look like July)
Ain’t no comparison, dusty like Henderson, shadows will paint my sky (Shadows will paint my sky!)
Mmm
Mmm
I been sippin’ low
I had to do it for the show
I had to go and get my cocky up
I’m liftin’ weights, this glocky up
But what’s at stake, they lock me (But what’s at stake, they lock me up)
But what’s at stake, they lock me up
I sign my name, they guap me up
I run the game, no stoppin’ us
I hit the stu, they chop me up
This album mode, this chalky dust
This album mode, we lock it up, lets go (Go, go, go)
Hold the pole, no foggin’ up
In front of us, they lockin’ up
You talk a lot, no walkin’ up
I walkie talk, this butter up
They paint my sky, no shutters up

And no one’s gon’ shut us up, lets go (Go, go, go)
And I been doin’ this for a long, long time, no cap

Overall Meaning

Dr. Bell's song "Sky" features lyrics that celebrate the beauty of a clear, sunny day. The opening lines, "Blue skies, smiling at me / Nothing but blue skies, do I see," set the tone for the rest of the song - an ode to the joys of a life filled with love and happiness. The presence of bluebirds, singing a happy tune all day long, further emphasizes this joyful mood.

The chorus, repeating the phrase "Nothing but blue skies," emphasizes the simplicity and purity of this happiness. The singer is so swept up in their joy that they have "never saw the sun shining so bright" and are "noticing the days hurrying by" - time flies when you're in love!

The song takes a turn in the final verse, where the singer affirms their positivity in the face of potential challenges. "I should care if the wind blows east or west / I should fret if the worst looks like the best / I should mind if they say it can't be true / I should smile, that's exactly what I do." The singer is determined to remain optimistic, no matter what life may bring.

Listening to this in 2023. Art Bell was the best, listening to him on AM radio all those years ago kept me up at night constantly maneuvering my antenna to keep Coast to Coast tuned in. Miss him…Noory doesn’t hold a candle to Arts mastery of the airwaves.

Ghost87

Agreed!

Dwight Schrute

Same here man. I discovered C2CAM while working the night shift in 2001 and have been listening ever since. It was near the transition from Art to Noory. I missed out on a ton of Art Bell stuff but thanks to the Internet we can go back in time. There is definitely a difference between the two but Noory does the best he can. Good listening friend.✌️

bayou72

Big facts George Noory doesn't hold a candle to Art Bell..And never will..Art knew how to set the mood listening to coast to coast at night while I was working nights or sitting up late at night with the lights off and the fireplace burning.

Chris Willis

Great voice!

I had the privilege of lunching with Dr Jacobs earlier this year and his thoughts haven’t changed. A wonderful man not afraid to speak truth. As was Art Bell.

Are you aware of the Emma Woods case? Jacobs conduct was very very troubling
