You’ve no idea how hard it is to file a complaint much less a lawsuit against a doctor.
Laws are made in favour of doctors and the proof is on the patient to provide as malpractice.
In MI there’s a 1 year limit on filing suit or complaints on doctors, NOT 1 year from when WE the patients figure it out but from the date they SCREWED up.
You need to have doctors to go against said doctor too verifying they agree there was malpractice and they’ll agree that they’d have done things different but stop short of stating they screwed up.
The states make it near impossible to file suits because it deters lawsuits that are not very serious etc.
Filing suits in MI I realized lawyers refuse cases due to the fact the laws are on the side of doctors and it’s expensive to file suit.
Sadly for me I had lawyers who would’ve taken my case but the 365 day time limit was passed.
Yeah it’s my fault I trusted they were helping me not neglecting and making worse for wear.
I’ve got doctors now that KNOW the doctors who even just recently violated my rights and they did NOT allow it to go unpunished and I’ve got a system of good care and documentation on my records and doctors who have told me to request them when I’m in hospital and I’ve personal numbers if theirs to call if any issues arise immediately!
007 is the power of doctors and I’ll not be a victim again.

Randall Kirby needs a huge shoutout. With how many people who failed to report this man it sounds like he took a bunch of different avenues to stop this man including a full report, he was instrumental in getting his medical license revoked and then he basically demanded to testify at his trial

This! Randall Kirby is my personal hero. The man even got into a personal argument on facebook with. Duntsch once after publicly calling him out as a murderer and asking what his body count was. This was before the man was ever indicted! It took a lot of guts for a well-respected vascular surgeon to "turn against one of his own" and call other anaesthesiologists to ensure they don't work with "the serial killer doctor". As far as I'm concerned, Randall Kirby is the ONLY hospital staff member who cared more about the patients than money. Even Robert Henderson, to an extent, was very cautious and conservative in his pursuit of legal action against Duntsch, as he didn't want to be blacklisted as a surgeon.

Kirby has made mistakes himself. Luckily, thanks to my insisting to get out of bed after a surgical fusion and noticing that I had blood pouring out of a drain tube hole, I was rushed back into the OR. I would have laid there and died due to his work.
