Qualified
Dr John and the Rampart Street Sympathy Orchestra Lyrics

Looky here
Better hurry up and check it out
Looky here, looky here

Your steak ain't no hipper than my pork chop
Your Cadillac ain't no hipper than my bus stop
Your champagne ain't no hipper than my soda pop
Looky here, I'm ready to take care of business
Have no fear, I'm already here

I'll Tell you now (I'm qualified)
You know that I'm qualified
(You know that I'm qualified)

Your top hat ain't no better than my ginger brown
And your sharp skin ain't no badder than my Levis Jim
The money you got, it ain't no better than a higher spending man's

All I've got is a little bit of common sense
I believe in my heart, the best e.d. is experience

I'll tell you now (I'm qualified)
You know that I'm qualified
(You know that I'm qualified)

You may find me in a project slum
Be hanging out with all the skid row bums
I may be sick and I may seem dumb
That don't mean you know where I'm coming from

Look out kid
Just make a little room for

Your social life ain't no better than my hot dog stand
Your edu-ma-cation ain't no hipper than what you understand
Your woman that you got she ain't no hipper than a hot loving band

I got the power to control
I can see clean through your blind mole?
And I want to tell you now (I'm qualified)
You know that I'm qualified
(You know that I'm qualified)

Look at me, I'm filling up in class
And you better watch out, I'm stepping up fast
And I ain't a jacket on me, I've been hanging out in the projects

Hangin' out with all you rednecks
you rubbernecks and rejects

Overall Meaning

The song "Qualified" by Dr John and the Rampart Street Sympathy Orchestra is an upbeat and funky tune that challenges society's notions of what makes someone "hip" or successful. The lyrics are a declaration that one's worth is not defined by material possessions or social status, but rather by their own experience and common sense. The repetition of the phrase "looky here" throughout the song emphasizes the singer's confident assertion that they are just as qualified as anyone else.

The first verse sets the tone for the rest of the song, with the singer pointing out that a fancy steak or Cadillac is no better than a humble pork chop or bus stop. They go on to assert that even expensive champagne cannot compare to a simple soda pop. The second verse expands on this idea, stating that a top hat is no better than a ginger brown hat or even a pair of Levi's jeans. Finally, in the third verse, the singer calls out the idea that having money or a "hip" partner does not make someone better than someone else. They claim their own power to see through superficiality and "blind mole" and that their experience makes them just as qualified as anyone else.

Overall, "Qualified" is a song about rejecting the status quo and asserting one's own worth and qualifications. It's a funky and fun song that encourages listeners to look beyond appearances and embrace their own experiences and perspective.

It’s people like me that make it worse.

1. One day Breed with blonde blue eyed Russian wife. Create daughter
2. Have daughter play every sport , dance, entertainment and Instagram it from age 0 till she becomes famous.
3. Cash In $

Meanwhile everyone else is delusional mix racing with minorities or downgrading. They’re brown pretty daughter isn’t getting the fame like they were told by leftists.

Meanwhile brown hispanics part whites like me know the game hasn’t changed for over a century. And will never change no matter how woke society gets.

I could get deeper in this theory. But I would need to talk in riddles. Let’s just say 1930s had a point.

So is it fair? Well it’s fair to me , only because I learnt the game when I was a teenager and college student. And the game has not changed.

@@ylekiote99999 What you're saying doesn't make any sense, and you didn't have anything to support those subjective statements.

Also I was speaking more on what people tend to gravitate towards the most rather than what i personally like or dislike about the people themselves.

I could've said that 'I find x people to be more manipulative and disingenuous in general' , but instead I was speaking more on how the human psychology tends to find more reasons to like a person that they find attractive than they would for a person that they view as unattractive.

Inadvertently you proved my point by making a shallow blanket statement that 'unattractive people are always bitter and resentful' because that's like saying 'all attractive people are trash' even though it can be a bit subjective whether a person is attractive at times, and it's just an overall false statement.

Another way to prove you wrong would be the whole idea of being able to purchase someone's affection knowing that they don't actually care about you , and that there is a whole percentage of guys and females that engage in a relationship of some sort where the female talks down to the male.

That male worships her despite her treating people like dirt. I mean how many real life instances and movies have we seen where the cheerleader or the popular girl at school is mean and unapproachable to those who doesn't find attractive in some way?

The whole idea of those concepts amd fetishistic relationships is that the guy can care less how he is treated by her because he's so intoxicated by her outward beauty, and that psychological power is actually very real.

The average person regardless of male or female doesn't look at someone that they are instantly attracted to and think "oh let me find out if they are good person and entertaining first before i decide whether i want to smash or have them all to myself"

I've been on both sides of treatment where i was viewed as extremely attractive and received special treatment with girls fawning over me as well as guys and girls hating me for no reason.

The amongst the majority of guys and girls who hated on me during those times they weren't particularly unattractive at all, but they were jealous and insecure.

Yet the people who were generally viewed as unattractive were more often than not very kind and genuine friends to me.

Especially nowadays i run into regular people who aren't self-asorbed and those with disabilities that are so kind, but the superficial ones tend to be despicable more often than not.
