1. Drowning Pool is a heavy metal/nu metal band from Dallas, Texas formed in 1997 that rose to prominence while playing along with Ozzy Osbourne during Ozzfest. Their 2001 debut album, Sinner, was certified platinum within six months and the video for its first single "Bodies" was frequently aired on various music video channels. After the September 11th attacks the song "Bodies" was infrequently heard on many radio stations due to the sensitivity of those families' loved ones who jumped from the towers. In August 2002 the lead singer of the band, Dave Williams, died in his tour bus of heart failure.
After Williams' death, the band decided to carry on and began searching for a new singer.
In 2003, the band found a new singer in Jason Jones who took place of Dave Williams in the wake of his death. They released the album Desensitized in 2004.
Jason's departure from Drowning Pool was publically announced on June 14, 2005, due to irreconcilable differences. Jones would later join the hard rock band A.M. Conspiracy. Almost immediately, rumours started swirling concerning the new singer's identity, most of them pointing to former SOiL singer Ryan McCombs. Drowning Pool announced that the singer would be formally announced August 25 at the Ozzfest date in Dallas, Texas, where Drowning Pool will do a one off performance on the main stage. On July 20th, website SMNNews received word from close sources that McCombs was indeed the new singer, and that fact was confirmed by McCombs and Drowning Pool alike the next week.
In spring of 2006, Drowning Pool announced that they had parted ways with Wind-Up Records. As of June 30th, Wind-Up's website has been updated to confirm this.
In October 2006, a new song called No More was announced to be released on the Saw III soundtrack, their first track (besides the second version of Rise Up) with Ryan McCombs on vocals.
On February 26, 2007, it was announced that the band has signed a new deal with Eleven Seven Music, after receiving offers from Century Media and Sanctuary Records.[1] It was also confirmed that Drowning Pool will have a new management company, Tenth Street Entertainment, following the group's departure with Paul Bassman of Bass Management.
The band's newest album is, "Full Circle" and was released on July 24th, 2007 nationwide. 2 songs on the album were being produced by Funny Farm Records, owned by Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx and former Beautiful Creatures guitarist DJ Ashba. The remaining tracks have been recorded with Producer Ben Schigel at the Dallas based January Studios.
In January 2008, the band announced that they would be heading out on a North American tour as special guests of Saliva.
The band is currently set to release their newest, self-titled studio album on April 27th 2010 featuring their newest single "Feel Like I Do".
In 2011 Ryan McCombs and Drowning Pool has part ways. Ryan has become the permanent vocalist for SOiL once again.
In 2012 Drowning Pool has announced that new vocalist is Suicide Hook singer Jasen Moreno.
After parting ways with former singer Ryan McCombs, Drowning Pool recruited Moreno to go on the road with them. He made his live debut with the band on July 8 at a show in Ardmore, Okla.
Drowning Pool’s have teamed up with producer Kato Khandwalla for their fifth studio album, the first to feature Moreno. The disc is due out in early 2013.
In 2023 McCombs returned and replaced Moreno as vocalist

Now you are caught up in the net and never bite the hand that feeds
Out everyday, are you the same way
Your life sucks and it's driving you insane
You used to say that you'll never die
That you will always gonna fly
Never read the life for free
It's so true, that you're overdue
The phone [?] wrong, never learn
Keep up, keep digging, digging these holes
So far, fall down, no place to call on your
You shut your, your mouth and, you keep close
Keep digging, digging these holes
Now I've got a handshake, with a slice rise
And a wicked eye
You got a mouth full of charge
And a head full of lies
Pissing off your tortured soul
Well you'll get your way, I hear it everyday
But I got news for the sicker fans
You gotta be sick and track, get a knife for rob those bads
Spend your life without breaking side
Well just get away, just get away
The phone [?] wrong, never learn
Keep up, keep digging, digging these holes
So far, fall down, no place to call on your
You shut your, your mouth and, you keep close
Keep digging, digging these holes
No sympathy, no tiger on grey
No way out, it's just the way you came
No apologies, it's far too late
No sympathy, it's just forgive me [?]
It's far too late, it's all too late
Keep up, keep digging, digging these holes
So far, fall down, no place to call on your
You shut your, your mouth and, you keep close
Keep digging, digging these holes
No sympathy, no tiger on grey
No way out, it's just the way you came
No apologies, it's far too late
No sympathy, it's just forgive me [?]
The song "Digging These Holes" by Drowning Pool is about a person who used to be carefree and confident, but has now become trapped in their own problems and bad decisions. The lyrics suggest that the person is stuck in a cycle of negativity and self-destruction, unable to escape the holes they have dug for themselves. The chorus repeats the line "keep digging these holes," as a metaphor for the person's continued self-destructive behavior. The song also contains a message of warning to those who are caught up in their own problems, urging them to break free from their negative patterns of thought and behavior before it's too late.
In the first verse, the lyrics describe the person's downward spiral, with lines like "your life sucks and it's driving you insane" and "you're overdue." The second verse suggests that the person has become a danger to themselves and others, with lines like "you got a mouth full of charge and a head full of lies" and "get a knife to rob those bads." The chorus reinforces the idea that the person is stuck in their own problems, with lines like "no place to call on your" and "keep digging, digging these holes."
Overall, "Digging These Holes" is a powerful rock song that is open to interpretation. It can be seen as a cautionary tale about the dangers of negative thinking and self-destructive behavior, or as a more personal exploration of one person's struggles with mental health and addiction. The song's driving beat and aggressive vocals make it a standout track on Drowning Pool's album "Full Circle."

The album cover fit with the song title perfectly!!I see hand looking trees/stone sculptures in the video that are growing suddenly everywhere in the small town ( see the movie Tremors!)Police trying to find the clue. Then we are going to the stranger things kinda vibes.Lost teenagers as the little souls trying to escape from the underground construction of giant themself (for this little souls). Some of the coolest are the main heroes of the story. The are fighting with nightmare monsters terrorizing their tree bodies. When they finaly got deep down to the real beating heart of their lifes.they got into the inside activate the heart and wakes up the TREES.Tree guys are moving by their hands while they are waking up and they rise up above the holes that was created after them. The hole neighbourhood is on the place and people are touched and thrilled! They feel as one hoping for the good end !Almost like in cool Stephen King Sci fi movie. Then the souls connecting with trees and the dirt dissapears from the giants as they will change in all the lost teeagers.they are back with the families. The town is happy again.:D
