Atmosphere
Dusted Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Tie it ′round your finger
It all goes away
Into the atmosphere
What, what just happened
Something in him snapped him
He said "Don't want to leave
Don′t want to disapear"
It leaves you right when you needed it most
It leaves you right when you needed it most
Try not to forget this
Last night's dirty dishes
Oh, when you hear the sound
Everything you hold dear
What if I told you
Someday when you're older
You will evaporate
Into the atmosphere
It leaves you
Right when you need it the most
It leaves you
Right when you need it the most
Believe me,
Right when you need it the most
Believe me,
I don′t mean anything else
The song Atmosphere by Dusted talks about the transience of life and the inevitability of things disappearing into the atmosphere. The first verse asks the listener to remember something important and to tie it around their finger so that they don't forget it. However, the lyrics suggest that despite our best efforts, everything eventually disappears into the atmosphere. The second verse talks about the ephemeral nature of life and how everything we hold dear will eventually vanish. The song's chorus emphasizes the theme of disappearing at the most crucial moments in our lives, leaving us feeling lost and alone.
The song's lyrics are relatable and poignant, capturing the essence of the human experience with an introspective lens. The metaphor of everything disappearing into the atmosphere brings a haunting beauty to the song, reminding us of the fleeting nature of life and how we must cherish every moment.
