Christ On a Mic
Dwarves Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

They say one day, we'll all be far away
But we'll never know the answer to this way to lay
Hey hey, some day, these pictures fade away
Still we'll always be remembered for the sounds we make

Look at me on a mic!

Like Christ on a mic
Broadcasting at you live and via satellite
Like Christ on a mic
Messiah of the fire, savior of the night

They say, one day, it all comes out ok
But there's no one keeping score of all these games we play
Hey hey, some day, we all may go astray
Still we've got to keep rejoicing for this milky way

Look at me on a mic!

Like Christ on a mic
Broadcasting at you live and via satellite

Like Christ on a mic
Messiah of the fire, savior of the night

Overall Meaning

The song "Christ On a Mic" by Dwarves seems to be exploring themes of mortality and the legacy we leave behind. The lyrics suggest that eventually, all of us will be forgotten, but what we create and the impact we make can stand the test of time. The metaphor of "Christ on a mic" adds a religious and spiritual layer to this idea, implying that music and performance can have a transformative power akin to that of a messianic figure.

The repeated refrain of "Look at me on a mic" could be interpreted in a few ways. It could suggest the arrogance of performers and the desire for attention and validation. On the other hand, it could also be seen as an expression of confidence and commitment to one's craft, unafraid to take center stage and share their message with the world. Overall, "Christ On a Mic" is a bold and anthemic song that encourages us to embrace our individuality and strive to make a lasting impact on the world.

This is pitiful to associate dwarfs dwarfs with this type of Christian Christianity if at all in this song. The world is making such a mockery out of dwarfs and midgets whenever everyone preaches they need to be accepted and loved, they are by God Almighty and through Jesus Christ. Unfortunately YouTube is not really posting real testimonies from real small people in Christ that is that is pathetic. I don't know if they're sensoring them or they're very few that have a profession of Christ. I'm not sure but I'd like to see more of them. We certainly have a lot of people professing and confessing Jesus Christ that are young, that are old that are pretty, that are homely, but they aare beautiful in God's sight if they do the will of the Father fir they are covered by the precious cleansing blood of Jesus.
For the least shall be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
