1) The world hasn’t seen an emcee like Dynasty before. It’s rare when an artist combines heartfelt storytelling, commanding stage presence, and a deep and palpable audience connection. The soul of Lauryn Hill, and the ruff neck swagger of MC Lyte, all appropriate descriptions for the femcee, D.Y. It’s easy to make comparisons when you start talking about female emcees. D.Y. herself says “I’m complimented by comparisons to Lauryn” but one look at her live and you’ll see that she truly holds her own in this game.

Born and raised in Queens, Dynasty (Diana Hardy) has always found herself at the center of attention. She was the kid that was always doing something to entertain the family. Whether making up a dance to BBD’s “Poison” in the front yard or playing “the song that grandma liked” on the piano for guests, life often seemed like a stage. She attended a small performing arts college on Long Island, Five Towns College. After graduating with her Associate degree in Theatre Arts, she wasn’t sure how she would pay to continue on for her Bachelor’s degree. The grants had run out and financial aid wasn’t offering much. Believing in her dream, the president of the school offered to waive the balance on her tuition. Because of this, you will often hear her say “I’m the first rap chic with a rap scholarship.”

The soul of a dreamer, and the fearless determination to follow that dream wherever it might lead, her presence on stage is a guaranteed, take no prisoners, always leave them wanting more, show stealer. D.Y. has lit up shows opening for The Wu-Tang Clan, Mos Def, Big Daddy Kane, Redman and Method Man, Talib Kweli, KRS One and more. A Wu-Tang Clan crowd will not stand for anything less than ruff, rugged, and raw, so you know she has skills. She also did the Florida leg of the Duck Down 15th Anniversary tour along with the entire roster including Sean Price and Pharoahe Monch. But it’s her performance on records that truly sets Dynasty in a class all her own. While she has an affinity for hard beats and raw hip hop artists such as MOP and Slaughterhouse, she often finds inspiration from artists on the opposite side of the spectrum like the soulful Erykah Badu and the timeless, Ella Fitzgerald. Never caught up in writing “formula rap” as she calls it, Dynasty writes from the heart and only makes music that’s good for the soul and at the same time, remains a beast on the mic. Rhyming ever since she was a kid, it wasn’t until she moved to Tampa, FL and opened for Little Brother that she really got the push that she needed to take her career to the next level. At that show, she linked with her dj, DJ Sandman. From that point on, she’s been pushin’ even harder for her dream and it appears that it is within reach.

Dynasty has been slowly making a name for herself, turning heads locally and all over the world thanks to a co-sign from DJ Premier who put her last single “Femcee” on his “On Tha Road Again” mixtape. The following year, he gave her the ultimate cosign by producing a song for her. “Epic Dynasty” was placed on his compilation album, Get Used to Us. The legendary DJ even appears alongside DY in the video for the song, set to drop in 2011.

Her first project which dropped in 2010, Dreampusher, tells a story of transcendence, hope and is universal in its themes. She lets you know who she is by touching on everything from love and life to tackling the stigma of the female emcee. On “Femcee” she takes the term that some view negatively and flips it by saying “there’s nothin’ feminine about killin’ an emcee”.

Her passion transcends the stage; her mass appeal transcends all boundaries. There is no “set demographic” for D.Y., no gimmick, no crafted agenda aside from making beautiful music. She rocks for the grown folks, the kids and people from all walks of life. Rightfully so, soul music touches the world.

2) Based out of the wildly diverse Los Angeles music scene, Dynasty is a collective in the grand tradition of of all that is grand and glorious in old school hardcore. With a dynamic new album entitled Truer Living With A Youthful Vengeance on the verge of being released on Strike First Records as well as an upcoming tour with Call To Preserve, Dynasty is sure to leave a lasting legacy in this year of 2011. On the spiritual side of the spectrum and yet more then ready to unleash a Beastie Boys cover if you request it, there is a strong sense of urgency and conviction to be found within Dynasty’s impassioned compositions.

3) Formed in the year of 1996, in the city of Nova Lima/MG, with the intention of playing Heavy Metal, in your first steps. The band always preferred to work with own music in detriment of the local bands, that preferred to explore the covers. The compositions were simple and purely based on traditional bands as: Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Saxon and Black Sabbath.

The musicians, at that time, were Nahor, Daflas, Anderson and Lelo. The formation is altered with the entrance of one more guitarrist Walter, and the first presentations still felt in the year of 1996. They were very humble but done with claw. In this same year, Daflas and Lelo they leave the band, this last one being substituted by Samuel.

In the first months of 1997, the band raised higher flights, making your first presentation rejection of Minas Gerais, going to the city of Barueri/SP, being one of the prominences of the event. Still today Dynasty is considered one of the pioneers of Heavy Christian Metal in Brazil.

4) Supremely talented, immaculately attired, sporting hooks, looks, chops, and undeniable rockstar power, Dynasty are the complete package royale. This is their seven-song, multiple re-entry vehicular salvo from the heart and loin of the San Francisco dancewavepartypunk culture war.

Fronted by the mercurial Jibz Cameron (Roofies) on vox and keyboards, hips set rocking by the bomb-ass bass of Diana Hayes (Mono Pause), and jet-propelled by the undeniable beatz of Indra Dunis (Numbers), Dynasty is the soundtrack to your fever-dream night-on-the-town with Alexis Carrington, Dorothy Parker, and Terri Nunn. It's probably also worth noting that MK1 is built with Unreal Engine 4 if Digital Foundry is to be believed (rather than Nether Realms' custom variant of UE3). Unreal Engine 4 has official support for the Switch platform, which UE3 did not have, requiring a custom port of the engine to the Switch hardware. Just based on this fact alone with UE4 natively supporting Switch development, I'm expecting MK1 to be a step up from what MK11 was on Switch. But, let's see what happens.

I'm concerned about the performance of the Switch version. As much as the game can look good, I hope at least Unreal Engine 4 is being used. When I played MK11 on my Switch, I felt that the game studio made the wrong choice of ignoring UE4 in favor of sticking with what's familiar given that there are efficient software now can work with different devices.

The game looks great from whats been shown. I dont know what people are complaining about. The backgrounds in particular are a huge upgrade over previous titles. They moved from unreal 3 to unreal 5 for this game. I think its already showing and will only get better in time and with new games.

Switch is Nintendo it’s never been known for graphics rather enjoy the game for the game and playability and it’s gameplay im more worried about slow gameplay than bad graphics at this point. I enjoyed mkx more than mk11 by a lot bcuz it was far more fun so I hope if they make it fun I’ll disregard the graphics. I’m getting mk1 for the switch bcuz I don’t have ps5 or Xbox series x. In fact the switch is my newest console my previous was the Xbox one x which surpassed the ps4 graphics by alot easily but gameplay was slow hence when it was a half of a new gen console compared to orignal Xbox one or ps4. The graphics in one x was superior to mk11 on ps4 but gameplay was slower. It is slower on switch bcuz it’s alot to process for the switch but it they can get the graphics to be the same as switch version of mk11 at least but run gameplay smoothly and not slow I’ll be happy. It’s hard to imagine I would’ve been getting the new game on switch but again I’m fine with it if it means not spending $500+ dollars on a new system money I don’t have just to play the new game I’d rather play the inferior version of it than not at all and I wanna play it rather than watch it on YouTube. I wanna play the story mode and see it for myself I’m excited for it efen if it’s on the switch. I was dissapointed alpt when I played the switch version of mk11 at first but I picked it up again today and while it’s not the same as it would be for Xbox it is a good port for a hand held

About the graphics, for those who follow the NRS games, it is perfectly known that the gameplay trailers, especially the initial ones, tend to be made with earlier builds and the final version of these games is very different and much more polished, I haven't seen that much of criticism in previous releases, so in my opinion this whole "hate" is more for the reason that the game will not come out for PS4 and XONE and now they are looking for any reason to criticize the game when it hasn't even come out yet

Most fans are so disappointed with mk1 next gen console graphics, since the first trailer visuals displayed hyper realism which BLEW OUR MINDS AWAY and we all certaily hoped gameplay will take the same path looking somewhat close to that. just take a look at the charachter visuals and animations level from the point shang tsung starts performing fatalities. It looks INCREDIBLE ! no way they couldn't have implemented these visuals into actual game but in reality, charachter models and stages look 100 times worse. So yes, I think that I'm speaking on behalf of most of us when saying that graphically wise, Netherealm could have EASILY created visuals identical to that show off trailer but decided to take an entirely different path. Which SUCKS.

I'm not too concerned alot of people forget or dont know switch also has skyrim, crysis, doom eternal, bioshock and many other powerhouse games even bigger than mk 11and mk1 so I have faith in mk 1 for it plus MK 11 I noticed looked good in storymode but gameplay was slightly cutdown resolution for gameplay which i get.

I'm also sure they learned from MK 11 and will improve any issues MK 11 may have had. I agree dynasty mk11 was solid on the switch. I'm excited besides gameplay>>graphics. Yeah I definitely think people need to manage their expectations when it comes to the switch. Come on, how old is it now? I’ll be getting MK1 on PS5 and steam deck but for MK1 I did PS4 and switch. I wasn’t let down by how different it looked on switch because I was aware of the hardware’s capabilities and that it wasn’t developed for it, but rather ported. I’m also shocked how quickly people forget history. How the games are always so much more beautiful upon launch than in trailers. For example people are saying “omg I can’t believe the game is coming out right after the announced it” huh? They did the same with 11 when they announced it in December and it came out in April. So yeah. They do this with graphics all the time, I guess people forget and then wanna argue for some reason lmao

The fact that even after the IJ2, MKX, MK11 trailers people still complain about the graphics. The trailer is meant to show off gameplay, they don’t just reveal the trailer and stop working on the game. Off topic but I’ve been playing kombat league. I hate the fact that brutalities are locked until you complete the requirements. Ie i had five matches left to play to unlock 1 of the brutalities. The Nintendo direct is tomorrow morning so there is a big chance that the switch MK1 gameplay will be shown. This is where fans will say it looks good enough or it looks like crap.

I don't care about the graphics, switch is not really next gen, as long as it's playable I'll be happy. It's the only version I can play

Even, though I am a Playstation fanboy. Playstation, Xbox, and PC we aren't the only ones that deserve a quality product. Nintendo Switch players deserve a quality product as well! I hope the Nintendo Switch players get good port that runs well. They deserve it as well!

Graphics are the least important thing in a game for me, so I’m good. The Switch is the only console I have that plays the game, and I’m not getting a Series X until Starfield comes out, so as long as the performance is good, I’ll be fine.

People got mad because the switch got the mortal kombat 1 port but not for ps4 and xone, I understand of how upsetting it is for not having your game on the other ports but just remember this. The switch released on 2017 and it can still handle some games handle games like Batman and dying light, Again it’s upsetting but who knows if they can be ported to ps4 and xone one day.

All they have to do is change the graphics on MK one to a street fighter or a Zelda breath of the wild style graphic design. Growing up plan Mortal Kombat I always sided towards the Super Nintendo version over the Saga Genesis. Same when it came to Nintendo 64 and PlayStation.

I don’t own a os5 or Xbox x so the switch will have to do I wanna play the game story and see it for myself before seeing the YouTube videos when it’s out so the switch is rhe version I’m buying!

As a whole Mortal Kombat 11 looks better, that's a fact, but mainly because It has an more realistic approach on characters' models. For this MK It's very clear that they went to a more "cartoon" type of feel...

Clearly you didn’t watch the video, he said the graphics that was showcased was early development stage, even when people got to play the test built it’s still early!!!! (Also I remember MK11 looking kinda iffy and now it looks great, not to mention mk11 movement was even slower before the game got released)

For me the only thing I see mk11 looking better in as far as graphics go is the faces. The stages I feel are far more detailed in mk1 and have more life to them. But they have time to tweak these things not to mention many people have said this is early footage so it will most likely look a lot better once it’s released

I'm not concerned about the graphics, but not the animation... It's still top stiff, not as fluid like Mk11... That's the minimum standard, especially if it's for next only... I am not sure if that department will be improved/fixed as well as the graphics.

Nintendo needs a next generation console. A lot of these newer games that been coming out has been unplayable for the most part, so why no Mortal Kombat 1 he’s going to have problems. Nintendo has been two generations behind in graphics and specs.

It still looks like MK 11 , not an ugly game but it didn’t make the graphical leap like Tekken 7 to T8 Streetfighter 5 to SF6 , or even Mk10 To Mk11.

I don't get that if they can port it to the Switch why can't they make a PS4 and Xbox One version for people who don't have a current gen system? I have a PS5 but I have been in that boat of not having a current gen system before so I feel their pain. The Switch is legit almost a Wii U. I think because people expected it to look more realistic, like pretty close to what it was in the announcement trailer. I mean for me personally I do think the faces and the skins look pretty much the same as mk11 just less polished. But everything else looks way better than 11.

Guys, admit it, as much as it hurts the graphics are underwhelming and won't improve much. The game will still be great though but graphically is not how it should be nowadays. It's a missed opportunity but hopefully for the next MK we will finally get a proper realistic MK worth of the current generation.
