Drive
E.F.F.E.C.T. Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
But those two months
Went by in seconds
I was
Overthinking
I locked myself in my head
We crashed hard and I didn't even flinch
When did I
To a pain
You couldn't even see
There's a weight in my life
And it follows me
There's a call towards the night
That I can't ignore
There's a reason
I never took my shirt off
There's a part of me
I wish you'd have met
We lose drive
We lose ourselves
You take risks until you get burned
I promise that one day
I'll be who I want
And I hope one day
You'll get off that road
That road
Get off that road
That road
He's commenting on the fact
That he feels that you don't
Relate in a broader way to these people
What are you talking about?
And you know what?
I don't really
I don't really care
What he's talking about because
He doesn't really know anything anyway
What does he know about-
I believe in you
What does he know about real friendship?
The lyrics of "Drive" by E.F.F.E.C.T. convey a sense of freedom and rebellion. The chorus invites the listener to imagine different scenarios, where they either ride or walk, rock around the clock or try to get off, highlighting that nobody tells them what to do. The phrase "smack, crack, bushwhacked" suggests a certain wildness and chaos, while "tie another one to the racks" could be interpreted as being tied down or restrained. The song seems to be a call to action, urging the listener to break free and embrace their individuality.
The lyrics also contain a number of nonsensical phrases, such as "Ollie, Ollie in come free", which could be seen as adding to the playful and rebellious tone of the song.

This has really helped me sleep. I always loved car rides and still do and sometimes I miss the 6h+ rides I used to have and I usually get more sleepy and sleep better in a car then on my bed
