I rejected her and even slapped her for assuming that I was the kind of man she was looking for.

"I'm a L man, strictly liquor, love and laughs"
I clarified that I was only interested in enjoying liquor, love and having fun.

Hotsie urged me to remain calm and not let my emotions take over.

"Play it what?" I flipped
I reacted negatively to her suggestion and protested.

I told Hotsie about my difficult upbringing in the East Side of New York City.

Hotsie warned me that the situation we were in could be dangerous and risky.
