Lost to the darkness,
And I feel how your hearts as cold as ice,
Cold as ice
Wanna dance with you set you
on your feet again,
Wanna love you and hold you till
Oh, now and then, let the light come shinin',
Though I see how scared you've
been, oh, oh, gotta risk it
Na, na, let the walls come down,
Tear the walls down, won't let you hurt again,
Na, na, let the walls come down
You're riding anger's wings,
Keeping your distance,
Won't let go of a war you will not win,
Try, my friend
Wanna wrap my arms around your beating heart,
Wanna love you and hold you till
the walls start to part,
Oh, now and then, let the light come shinin',
Though I see how scared you've
been, oh, gotta risk it
Na, na, let the walls come down,
Tear the walls down, won't let you hurt again,
Na, na, let the walls come down
I wanna tear them down,
I can't see you, I can't feel you
Through those walls,
I wanna tear them down
Ta-da, ta-da, gotta risk it...
Na, na, let the walls come down,
Tear the walls down, won't let you hurt again,
Na, na, let the walls come down
Livin' in a box again
Na, na, let the walls come down,
Tear the walls down, won't let you hurt again,
Na, na, let the walls come down
Nanana-na-na, nanana-na-na...

The singer sees that the person she loves has shut themselves off from the world and is lost in darkness. She feels the ice-coldness of their heart and wants to dance with them to help get them back on their feet. The singer wants to love and hold the person until the walls that they have built up start to come down, even though she knows they are scared. She is willing to take the risk and tear down the walls to bring the person out of their box and into the light.
