Eruption
E.Q.P Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Devour of life
Increasingly is comming
From mount olympus Mons

This is volcano eruption

Beneath the surface a power contained
c Morbid spirit longing to be unchained
With thunderous roar and blazing might
Volcano wakes embracing the night.

Burn
Scream
Destroy
Hell

This is volcano eruption.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of E.Q.P's song "Eruption" paint a vivid picture of a volcanic eruption, using powerful imagery and intense emotions. The opening line, "Devour of life, increasingly is coming," suggests the destructive nature of a volcano as it unleashes its fury. The reference to Mount Olympus Mons, the largest volcano in our solar system located on Mars, adds an element of grandeur and emphasizes the immense power of the eruption.

The second stanza delves deeper into the theme of the song, describing the hidden force beneath the surface longing to be unleashed. The "morbid spirit" represents the untamed energy that lies dormant within the volcano. As the eruption begins, the lyrics capture the tumultuous nature of the event with phrases like "thunderous roar" and "blazing might." The volcano wakes up, embracing the darkness of the night as it unleashes its wrath upon the world.

The simple yet repetitive chorus, consisting of the words "burn, scream, destroy, hell," further amplifies the violent and destructive nature of the volcanic eruption. The song as a whole serves as a metaphor for uncontrolled chaos and raw power, symbolized through the imagery and emotions conveyed in the lyrics.

This is one of the most depressing things I have seen in a long time. God bless all who sadly passed away and give peace to those still living with the scars of its memory.

Second most lethal volcanic disaster of the 20th century, surpassed only by Mt Pelee in 1902. This is a classic case of a disaster that could have been avoided
