Bliss
E.S.C.H Lyrics

Somiglio agli altri meno che a me stesso
Prendo torre e re vado in difensiva
It's only two months since I lost my bliss
Yeah, yeah
I lost my bliss
Yeah, yeah
I don't care
Yeah, yeah
I lost my bliss
Yeah, yeah
Superato un momento di crisi
Mia dolce ironia
Che mi salvi da ricordi intrisi
Di nostalgia
In sto campo sono un genio
Della strategia
Primo tentativo sono senior
Come per magia
Sarà grazie all'overthinking
E rispondo a tono, mentre voi coi grilli
It's only two months since I lost my bliss
Yeah, yeah
I lost my bliss
Yeah, yeah
I don't care
Yeah, yeah
I lost my bliss
Yeah, yeah
E mi son ripreso in breve
Quel che si dà lo si riceve
Ma non sempre si ottiene
Yeah, yeah
I lost my bliss
Yeah, yeah
I don't care
Yeah, yeah
I lost my bliss
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah

Yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah

Overall Meaning

"Bliss" by E.S.C.H is a deeply introspective song that delves into the emotional journey of the singer and their struggle with finding happiness and contentment. The lyrics explore themes of self-discovery, identity, and resilience.

In the opening lines, the singer expresses their need to breathe and remain close to someone, suggesting a desire for emotional connection. They then mention being at a party where they feel like they have found their fate, but they struggle to believe it, leading them to drown their doubts in wine. This hints at a sense of disillusionment or skepticism towards finding true fulfillment.

The singer reflects on their state of celebration and abandoning hope, indicating a sense of resignation or resignation that has become a recurring pattern for them. They use the metaphor of becoming one with the rest of the world, losing their own individuality in the process. However, they acknowledge that this image needs to be changed or refreshed.

They mention overcoming a block or obstacle, possibly referring to a personal struggle or setback. The references to playing chess ("taking tower and king, going defensive") and the use of the term "senior" suggest a strategic mindset and the ability to navigate challenges. The singer alludes to the pressure of conversations filled with emotions, memories, and regrets surrounding photos, stories, and social media (reels). They reveal that it has only been two months since they lost their bliss (happiness or contentment), implying that they have recently experienced a significant loss or disappointment.

The song then shifts to a more confrontational tone, as the singer questions how it is possible not to get angry or upset. They admit that they have gotten angry before but found it to be unhelpful. Instead, they choose to move forward and accept the situation. They emphasize that it is not important what others believe or think now, suggesting a detachment from external opinions and a focus on their own perspective.

The final section of the song introduces the concept of a competition or game, where the singer takes on a batting position. They acknowledge the rules they have learned since their first drink. The mention of lightning striking and a sip of rum (cuba) portrays a sense of sudden realization or clarity amidst a chaotic environment where people are stealing (metaphorically or literally). The singer acknowledges the temptation or understanding behind cheating, but also highlights their ability to point out when someone's glass is empty, indicating a level of fairness or integrity.

The singer then addresses someone who seems invested in their emotions and feelings, questioning the purpose or sense in doing so. They advise this person not to take offense even when they are ignored, asking them to retain some dignity. This interaction reveals a desire for personal autonomy and a refusal to rely on others for emotional stability.

The repetition of the phrase "Yeah, yeah" throughout the song can be seen as an expression of indifference or nonchalance towards their search for bliss, suggesting that they have reached a point where they are no longer concerned about it. This could imply a level of acceptance or detachment from external circumstances, as they focus on their own self-preservation and growth.

Overall, "Bliss" presents a complex narrative of emotional struggles, resilience, and the quest for personal fulfillment. The lyrics invite listeners to reflect on their own journeys and the pursuit of happiness in a world that often challenges our sense of bliss.

You have a REALLY good market for delivery. Generous tippers! I prefer doing Uber full time but it's a dead season for that so I'm going back to delivery as my fallback and I need motivation, so thanks for that! Lol. Love seeing series like $12k a month from drivers 😂

Great vid! I’m a dasher too… just wondering do you accept every order or do you have a mile vs pay minimum? Thanks!!

Eli Esch

Thanks for the question Jan! I usually accept orders based on mileage first, followed by pay. The ideal ratio is $2 or $3 to 1 mile of driving. My standard order I take is about $9 for 3 miles of driving.
