Having heard the announcement of EVO 2022 returning with a crowd, I was overcome with emotion that this made me realize how relevant the song is for the FGC despite all the terrible shit thrown at us from bad news to a global pandemic cancelling EVO 2020 and forcing the event to an online only event. I was severely burnt out from being a fan of fighting games due to where we are at right now, it did not help that a lot of personal struggles that sideswiped me too. However, I once again learned why I am one of the diehards for the genre in terms of passion and dedication to the games I buy and lab and play with friends in my local scene here in the Philippines. This was due to encouragement with the people I played with in the past and come this year: I am resolved to take my Fightpad and play against other players head to head once again. The comment @Imaznfoo wrote are the same sentiments that I have, one day I will be in EVO and dream to take on most of the best of the best from all corners of the world there.
When this year started, I discovered old videos of EVO from the early 00s and it made me appreciate this event even more.
