Matthew E. White era un tipo con un potencial que ni el mismo conocía. Un buen día decide grabar unas canciones en el desván de su casa en Virginia. Quería que aquellos temas sirvieran como carta de presentación para atraer a otros músicos. El bueno de Matthew no sabía que aquellas grabaciones se iban a convertir en adictivas para otros. Aquel sonido soul-rock tenía gran calidad. De la noche a la mañana se convirtió en un nuevo redentor de la música americana. Ahora acompañado de una excelente banda presenta su segundo trabajo, más sofisticado aún por arreglos de vientos y cuerdas. Si tienes dudas escucha cosas como "Rock & Roll is cold", "Holy Moly" o esa pieza "Tranquility", dedicada al actor Philip Seymour Hoffman que recientemente nos dejó a causa de una sobredosis de heroína.
