Musically influenced by Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Bunny Wailer, as well as an admirer of the hormonies of the Wailers, Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions, EVER-G takes you back to a time of great reggae rhythms, a passion for social causes, a love for all human beings ans a deep caring for the world's children. Although greatly impressed and intrigued by Reggae's musical greats, he has developed a distinctive and sophisticated style of his own, which is appreciated by music lovers everywhere and has garnered him an international fan base.
EVER-G, born Everett G. Streete hails from Cash-Hill, Hanover (Parish), Jamaica. His love of life and passion to suceed was evident, since the tender age of 4 where he took every opportunity he could to sing in his neighborhood church or schools. Everett's passion and thirst for growth and knowledge became a reality, at age 12, when he received a full scholarship to Rusea's High School. His passion for learning continued there as did his lust of music. At age 15, he was playing the guitar and by age 16 he was the lead vocalist in the school's band. Everett continued his string of successes with his acceptance to college, where he graduated from the Jamaica School of Agriculture (JSA) with a Diploma & Teacher's Certificate and the additional titles of lead vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist for his college band.
Everett, now known as EVER-G, was fortunate to complete his first recording at Bob Marley's Tuff Gong Studio in Kingston, Jamaica. He later fulfilled his dream as the lead singer of the band "Children of Jah".
In 1984, EVER-G migrated to the U.S. after going through a traumatic experience, leaving everyone and everything he loved behind to build a better life. He landed and integrated himself into a new life on the U.S. East Coast. EVER-G continued to feed his music passion and built a name for himself, as a rhythm guitarist and vocalist, by playing with a numer of local bands.
As an Artist EVER-G gained greater success when he formed his own band: EVER-G & the Crew. The band consists of himself as Lead Vocalist, The Irieites (backup singers) and 4 highly skilled veteran musicians who traveled the world playing roots music.
EVER-G's crowd pleasing talent has led to him being the opening act for a number of International Artists & Groups. Some of the acts were: Steel Pulse, Third World, The Mighty Sparrow, Shabba Ranks, Yellow Man, the Itals, Kymani Marley and Gregory Isaacs. He also had the pleasure of playing guitar on shows with Sanchez, Frankie Paul, Don Carlos & Ninja Man.
EVER-G and the Crew, featuring the Irieites, have been the Headlining act for the following events:
. Kuumba Festival - Knoxville, TN
. Black Beard Festival - Hampton, VA
. Reggae @ Sunset - Charleston, SC
. Caribfest - Richmond, VA

. Bob Marley Tribute - Augusta, GA
They have also performed as supporting acts for The Afram Festival in Norfolk, VA (4 years); Hampton Bay Days - Hampton Va; Caribfest -Norfolk, VA; King Lincoln Festival - Newport News, VA.
G continues in his quest for greater growth by assuming total responsibility for his musical career. In 2008, he assumed the business leadership role by taking responsibility for the production and digital distribution of his music on the web.

If you wanna be my queen, you have to love Jah Jah, and if you wanna be my queen you have to know yourself; if you want to be my queen you have to respect yourself; and if you wanna be my queen, you have to love yourself…”

Some enemies
To everyone
Who's around me
Myself and I
Have no alibies
I guess this is it
Time to say Goodbye
And leave it all behind
You're broken down on the freeway
But you need to learn to let it go and leave it behind
All this time
All these memories
It all went by so fast
Somethings I loved
Somethings I hated
It's time to leave it in the past
Quit your job hit the pavement
And leave it all behind
You're broken down on the freeway
But you need to learn to let it go and leave it behind
The lyrics to EVER-GMuzik's song "Goodbye" convey a message of reflection, self-discovery, and letting go of the past in order to move forward. The song starts by addressing both friends and enemies, indicating that it is a farewell to everyone who has been a part of the artist's life. The lyrics express a sense of personal responsibility, as the artist acknowledges that they have no excuses or alibis for their choices and actions. This creates a sense of finality, suggesting that this is the end of a chapter in their life.
The mention of "dreams of the west coast" implies a longing for a new beginning, leaving behind the familiar and venturing towards new horizons. However, the line "broken down on the freeway" hints at a level of struggle and uncertainty in this transition. The challenge is learning to let go of the past, the memories, and both the things loved and hated in order to move forward.
The chorus reinforces the idea of leaving everything in the past and starting anew. It encourages quitting one's job and hitting the pavement, symbolizing a bold decision to leave behind the comforts and routines of everyday life. The repetition of being "broken down on the freeway" suggests that letting go is not easy, but it is necessary for growth and personal evolution.
Overall, "Goodbye" captures the emotions of bidding farewell to one's past, embracing change, and pursuing new dreams and possibilities.
