This song always makes me happy and want to dance. I grew up listening to Earth, Wind, & Fire. I have so many memories of the times when it was cool to sing about being positive. EWF members were young, vibrant, and bursting with creative music. Maurice White RIP, Philip Bailey, Larry Dunn, and the Horn section. They were a force to be reckoned with in their hay days. How I miss those days. Wish I could go back sometimes. I think it's safe to say they were the best R&B Funk group ever to grace the stage and our culture. The best of all time.

@ Martin Johnson Then "After the Love is Gone" fades into "Let Your Feelings Show" with that introduction with the saxophone and African drum beat which is so EW&F when they first came out. Man oh man, a person has to be made of steel if they don't want to get up and dance to "Let Your Feelings Show" as well!!! They have so many hits!!!

They had such a terrific band where it is obvious that these guys were trained musicians (knew how to read and possibly write music). They had two lead singers, Maurice White and Phillip Bailey, who had extraordinary voices in each own's right; my GOD; they were destined to be great. I don't know who they worshipped, even though it seemed they were singing about GOD, now that I know what some of the symbolisms on their album covers really mean but I do believe that GOD stopped to listen to their music bc they were just that good. After all, it was He who gave them their gifts and talents!!!

@Stormie Weather You are so right. A person had to buy their albums to find out all of the other hits that actually existed bc they didn't play all of their music publicly or mainstream. They have so many hits that it ain't funny and it is impossible to name them all. It's worth the time to get all their albums (CDs) to investigate what tunes we missed that may be other hits.

They became mainstream in 1973 or 1974 with "Keep Your Head to the Sky" to my recollection. I was in college and everyone's music was played in our cafeteria and student union where we had a chance to experience music from different areas of the US so we heard a lot of music from many states. Their music was enjoyed by everyone from everywhere. They had hits year after year after year even through my early career time in the 80's. They just kept making hits even in the 90's playing hits from their past years until Maurice died. We love this group and the legacy they left with us!!!

It's easy to tell that they are trained musicians (ones who read and maybe write music) bc they play crescendo, decrescendo, syncopation with the upbeats, downbeats and offbeats as well as other musical terms I don't remember bc it's been ages since I learned and played music.

I played woodwinds but tinkered with the brass and strings bc my mom wanted all her kids to learn music so I was exposed to the guitar, piano, trumpet, and tuba. BUT this group by far is the best band that has ever existed in Black culture and all cultures really!!! Earth, Wind and Fire!!! 🔥🔥🔥 I can still hear the MC say their name with much enthusiasm as he introduced them to the stage!!! They are TIMELESS!!!

Their "B" sides are just as hot as their hits! That is one thing I always loved about their albums. I never had to skip tracks on either side because the thing was excellent :-)

THE FIRE. Their nickname that was told to me by one of the original members. I Loved the whole vibe that EWF's Masterpieces had ,Magical as well as Mystical . Their sound pierced deep into the minds and Souls of the listeners. "I Can't Let Go" remains very high on my list of one of the BEST recordings ever......

bought this vinyl for 50 cents at a rummage sale about 10 years ago. Finally got a record player and when this song came on.... Maaaan just the feel it brings. Great group but this may be my favorite song by them.
