Through 2006, they kept on playing live shows and in 2007 they took a break from playing live so they could start working on their first album, which was due sometime around 2008. The album's name will be Nature/Existence and it should come out some time in 2009. Besides this, the band will be appearing in two compilation albums put together by Colossus Magazine (Finland) and Musea Records (France): Rökstenen: a tribute to Swedish progressive rock of the 70's and Paradiso based on Dante's Divine Comedy.

Their music has been described as "perfect sweeping soundscapes", and they bring a fresh style to the young UK hardcore scene.

(16) (Incorrect redirect) Echos, the Portland duo, fall into a genreless mist of both cinematic post-rock style instrumentation and left-of-center pop writing; paving a new path, and style along the way. Clash Magazine notes Echos are "Oddly infectious […] in an electronic haze”. Often self-referential and coated in bitter-romance lyricism, Echos brings the angst of 2006’s emo days and reinvents it with 2018’s anti-pop pop-music. Have been working with with online promotional mecca ‘MrSuicideSheep’ and his label ‘Seeking Blue’ for the last 3+ years – Echos has seen the fortune of millions of streams, impressions, and eyes on their music. Finding importance in the physical, Echos has not only seen gains digitally, but they have found themselves supporting large-room sold out tours with electronic acts like Illenium, on the festival stages of Electric Forest, Snowglobe, and more as well as a bus tour with Alternative metal good-boys ‘I See Stars’.

Bonfires
Echoes Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Glowing red round our hands holding tight
If the sound of the sea were to be a song
It would sing about how much I want to laugh
To love, to lose, to feel, to rejoice at being alive
And to never forget that I make myself complete
The lyrics of "Bonfires" by Echoes are layered with meaning and powerful imagery. The opening line "I see shadows dancing around the bonfires" creates a vivid picture of a nighttime scene, perhaps in a forest or on the beach, with flames flickering and casting shadows all around. The use of the word "dancing" suggests something joyful and celebratory, while "bonfires" can also carry a sense of danger or destruction.
As the lyrics continue, the focus shifts to the people around the bonfires, who are holding hands and experiencing the warmth of the flames together. This is a powerful image of community and connection, suggesting that being with others and sharing experiences can bring great joy and comfort.
The next line, "If the sound of the sea were to be a song" is a poetic way of saying that nature itself is a source of beauty and inspiration. The idea that the sea's sound could be translated into music highlights the deep connection between music and the natural world.
The final lines of the song, "To love, to lose, to feel, to rejoice at being alive / And to never forget that I make myself complete" are perhaps the most powerful. They speak to the universal human experiences of love and loss, but also to the importance of embracing all aspects of life, both positive and negative. The idea that each individual makes themselves complete suggests that we all have the power to achieve fulfillment and happiness in our lives.
Overall, "Bonfires" is a beautiful and thought-provoking song that encourages listeners to appreciate the beauty and joy of the natural world, and to find meaning and happiness in their own lives.
